I know people can speculate about anything but IF the Democrats were to run Hillary Clinton again in 2020 people should seriously wonder about not only their judgment but their sanity. For Hillary to run again she would have to make it through the primary process and this time I doubt very seriously that fellow Democrats will lay off her and the huge amount of baggage she carries with her. I believe that the DNC felt that 2016 was Hillary's time and due her so everyone laid off her because she took one for the team in 2008 & 2012 when Obama ran and captured the nations Democrat's attention. 2016 candidacy was to be Hillary's in payment for 2008's snub and thus Biden (I believe) was told to back off as well as other potential candidates allowing Hillary clear sailing to the nomination. What they didn't foresee was Donald Trump slacking her in the election.
Now if they make that same mistake, which I can't see happening, again then they should suffer an even greater loss for their lack of judgement.
