So now they will skip building the wall in certain areas or "rely on electronic defenses"?   LOL

Another major clusterbleep of the Trump administration.   With so many clusters, this sure seems longer than 60 some odd days.

And oddly enough, the article you linked says exactly what I stated, that the interior secretary hints that border wall could be on Mexican land.  It's really easy when you post links that back up my original position.

Thanks man.

Obama!!!

No, try reading comprehension, the article said the Democrats came up with that ass-umption. There was no overt statement that we were going to go all Pershing on their butts and take the land.

Democrats piled on Zinke for the remarks, accusing him of calling for the wall to be built in Mexico.

It not the vacations either one of them took or is taking, it is what they do when they are working that bothers me. Whether you want to admit it or not the good ol USA is by far worse off since we had obummer the last 8 years. Race relations are rock bottom, morals have gone to pot. Crime is running wild, the police are shown no support and the criminals from a lot of other countries are coming here and trying to take over. In a lot of the larger cities parents are afraid to send their kids to school and when they are at home they are afraid to let them go outside to  play. God has been left out of many things. The only ones obummer helped are the ones totally out in left field. If that is the kind of things you consider as progress, then you should be proud. Obummer's health care plan sucks and will collapse. You can not continue to give the useless non working scum everything they want and stay afloat. Unemployment is way too high, the national debt is unbelievable. If Trump or whoever is president does no better, I will put him in the same category as obummer.  We will have to see how Trump does, but I already know how obummer did. Enough said.

Your problem is you believe in the numbers the corrupt obummer administration put out and reported by the bias news organizations. Get your head out of your butt and look around, good grief man are you completely stupid or have you been living under a rock somewhere. Like I said you can't fix stupid, so l give up on you. Post what you want because it means NOTHING to me or anyone else with good sense. I truly feel sorry for you and your thinking along with the rest of you lefties. Good by and good riddance.

LMAO!!  When he says "We can't build it on our side" and "we can't build it in the river" What other implication is there?  They are going to build it in mid-air in American air space?   For Chrissakes, come on man!

The nonsense of the Republican bourgeoisie... "It doesn't matter what could be the only other option, he didn't specifically say those exact words!!!!"

OBAMA!!

A intelligent mind might also come to the conclusion from the statement that since we can't build a fence on land we don't own and the land we do own on the border is in the river, we gotta do something else. Let me type a little slower for your limited comprehension: When did Zinke say in simple declarative English that we would build on Mexican soil?

Zinke has stated that since we can't build a physical wall on all of the Mexican border, we'll do something else,  .

Electronic monitors may be more appropriate in that region, Zinke said, while areas with imposing natural features may not require additional reinforcements.

The border is already dotted with underground sensors and camera towers, along with about 700 miles of fencing in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California, and it's unclear how much new fencing the Trump administration is proposing.

According to new budget details sent to Congress, the administration wants immediate funding to complete an existing barrier in the Rio Grande Valley, $500 million to complete 28 miles of a border levee wall near McAllen, Texas, and $350 million for construction along two segments near San Diego.

I know that is ABC's ass-umption of what Zinke said which is just like what former Gen. Kelley has suggested. But then again ABC might have just a smidgen of integrity left.

Kelly told Congress in January that a wall wouldn't be a complete fix for the border.

"A physical barrier in and of itself will not do the job," Kelly said during his confirmation hearing. "Certainly it has to be a layered approach."

Zinke's comments appeared to bolster that view and followed remarks he made Tuesday to the Public Lands Council, a group that represents Western ranchers.

"The border is complicated, as far as building a physical wall," Zinke said in remarks first reported by E&E News. "The Rio Grande, what side of the river are you going to put the wall? We're not going to put it on our side and cede the river to Mexico. And we're probably not going to put it in the middle of the river."

Item one is something for the Mexican tinfoil hat brigade to worry about, not US citizens who have searched the news enough to know the Trump Administration does know that not all of the border needs or can have a wall or fence built on the border.

Item two is something his competitors grilled Trump with during the primaries because Trump was quoted as saying all the border doesn't need a wall:

Trump Flip-Flops on Border Wall, Says We Need Only HALF a Wall Because of ‘Natural Barriers’

Judging from Kelley's remarks and administration budget requests, the only place a wall will be built is where vehicle and foot traffic is possible on dry land. The Rio Grande will see some fencing, tall levees and walls around towns. I believe the Border Patrol's manpower will also increase.
