Anyone have a clue why traffic was backed up for over a mile in Killen yesterday morning?

sorry, i was in town... they just won't leave me alone.
If it was around 7:40, there was a minor wreck in the left lane. Someone rear-ended another person. Very little damage. I wondered why the cop didn't move them out of the lane but it looked like the lady that was rear ended was a little hysterical. She was sitting behind the wheel of her SUV talking on her phone. Maybe she was refusing to move until ambulance got there.
There was another wreck like this this morning too. A truck rear-ended another truck. It was across from Ingram's but they moved off to the side of the road. Traffic was still pretty backed up though.
People should put down their biscuits, cell phones and make up and just drive! Traffic through there is too heavy in the mornings for distracted drivers.
