I'm all for USA-made goods. But what's the point of requiring such a thing at a German festival? I guess it's no sillier than the fact that it's the first time beer will be sold, seeing as how Germans pretty much drink beer for breakfast.
In my opinion, it is a pretty stupid and xenophobic idea. Oh well, they're getting beer. Maybe girls in drindl dresses will come, eventually.

BUT, the article also says that they will be selling both American and GERMAN beer.
ACHTUNG, du SCHWEINDHUNDS! "German Beer" is not made in the United States!
Maybe only 99.2 per cent of the stuff sold there will be American made.
Seems to me, though, that if they are going to have an Oktoberfest (which is German) and sell beer (which has strong German roots), that to oppose the selling German beer at Oktoberfest would be a bit chauvinistic.
99.2 percent should be good enough.
