There is an article in the Times Daily today about a trial for a local boy. Brian Peden, driving under the influence, ran through a stop sign going 80 MPH. He crashed into Shirley Brannon and killed her.  He was 19, and had been in 4 other wrecks, all his fault. While awaiting trial, he was sent to a drug treatment center which he got kicked out of for using drugs. The jury convicted him of a misdemeander which carries a 12 month maximum sentence. He will get credit for time served which means he will spend about 6 months in the county detention center.

What this means is, if you got money or influence, you ain't guilty in court.

Here he goes! The rich! The rich! There's a thread on here now about a career criminal, vicious, that had arrest after arrest before he was finally dealt with. He has no money, but being black, he tried to play the race card. Thankfully, because he is so vicious and dangerous, that hasn't worked so far. Jt, explain the hundreds of thousands that aren't rich, that walk time after time for serious crimes. Yes, it's the legal system, but it's messed up and slanted in favor of the criminal, no matter how rich or poor they are.

I listed the one in the paper. The white boy who killed a black woman and the all male, white jury let him walk. Now, you tell me some of the thousands that you referenced.

Dang Jt, I did! You need to learn how to read and seach. Talk about the black juries that let blacks walk. Start with OJ. Make up your mind, which hate is it you want to stir up today? Do you want to stir the race pot , or the evil rich pot, or both?

If this disgusting verdict is "justice", then Ms Brannon's family should be able to put a bullet into Peden's diseased brain and found guilty of no more than the same reckless homicide charge. Fat chance....

Dems keep talking about gun control when driving is out of control. Idiots behind thousands of pounds of steel. 19 and 4 tickets, his drivers license should already have been pulled. Here comes a big lawsuit, which insurance will pay and we all will pay.
