Hi to all my Forum Friends,
It seems that my agnostic Forum Friend, Chick, and a couple of her buddies have FOUND the truth about Bill Gray. So, instead of watching them hide in their little corner, snickering and giggling, "Oh, oh, did you hear this? Bill Gray has admitted to being homosexual! Bill Gray has admitted to coming out of the closet! PM me so that I can share this exciting news I have discovered!" -- let's just bring that "exposing" post out of the closet and see what it really does say.
In the discussion I began on June 20, 2013, titled "Did Exodus International Cave To Societal Pressures?" I shared this to begin the discussion:
The Los Angeles Times, a SECULAR NEWSPAPER, and Liberals cheer the closing of a Christian ministry. Was Exodus International right in closing that ministry -- or did it just cave to societal peer pressure?
Obviously there were opposing thoughts by Crusty, Dove, et al, -- and there an intelligent comment posted by Kate Colombo:
Bill, the gay community disagrees, but SOME theorists feel there are three types of gays. Of course, the rationales could cross over so that some might have two traits, not just one. To the point, one of the reasons is a genetic propensity in males to be gay. That doesn't mean that anyone has to act on any propensity they may have, whether to have homosexual sex, steal, or be sarcastic.
And, I respond to Kate:
Not sure what you mean by "three types of gays" -- but, I do believe you are right that everyone is born with some degree of feeling, curiosity, desire to experiment, or whatever one will call it about homosexual desires. I would probably lean toward curiosity and desire to experiment; but, I cannot speak for everyone.
I do not believe this occurs only in males. I believe it is equally true in females; that desire to experiment.
And, that is why it is so important to have Traditional Marriage -- so that every boy and girl has the right role models in those young years. Same-Sex Marriages cannot offer those types of role models.
True, many Traditional Marriages end up broken; but if they start out as Traditional Marriages -- they have, at least, a chance of success. If they start out as Same-Sex Marriages -- they are broken from the beginning, with NO chance of ever being normal. So, what chance does that give any child raised in such an environment?
That is one of the main reasons I am against Same-Sex Marriage. I want to see the children at least have a shot at being normal.
What folks want to do in the privacy of their own homes is their business -- as long as they do not demand to have special laws written just to protect their aberrant lifestyles. The laws we have now will protect all people, if enforced properly. We do not need special "gay laws" to validate gay marriages.
Everyone has the same rights as you and I -- to marry anyone who is of the opposite sexual gender -- and will have us. If someone wants to go off and marry a person of the same sex, or to marry their pet dog, sheep, or whatever -- there should be no laws protecting that lifestyle which God calls an abomination and unnatural.
And, you are right -- that even if a person does have a same-sex desire, he/she does not have to act upon it. That person could choose to follow Christ -- instead of their bodily/mental desires. They could choose to follow Christ -- instead of the secular society. They could choose to be a Christian believer -- but, not if they are going to continue living an "active homosexual or lesbian lifestyle." Like all of us, they have to choose: God or the world.
God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day, Bill
So, where is this GREAT ADMISSION spoken of with giggles and snickers by Chick, et al?
It is in the opening paragraph of my response to Kate:
Not sure what you mean by "three types of gays" -- but, I do believe you are right that everyone is born with some degree of feeling, curiosity, desire to experiment, or whatever one will call it about homosexual desires. I would probably lean toward curiosity and desire to experiment; but, I cannot speak for everyone.
That, to Chick-a-dee was me declaring myself to be a homosexual. What did I really mean when I said I lean toward curiosity and desire to experiment? I meant that is what I believe causes many men and women to experiment with the homosexual lifestyle.
If you offer me two cars -- a red car and a green car -- and I tell you, "I lean toward the red car" -- does that mean that I am a red car? Of course not; it merely means that I prefer the red car.
And, by saying, "I would probably lean toward curiosity and desire to experiment; but, I cannot speak for everyone" -- I am, in fact, saying that, while not everyone will agree with me that curiosity and a desire to experiment is what leads some people into the gay lifestyle -- that is my belief.
But, of course, people with a preset, locked mind will believe, and hear, what they want -- not what is said or written.
How many times has Chick declared, "Bill Gray has condemned me to hell!"
And, no matter how many times I write in response -- that neither I, nor any other person can condemn another person to hell. No matter how many times I tell her that not even God can condemn her to hell -- she will insist that, "Bill Gray has condemned me to hell!"
So, Chick, my Friend, let me assure you one more time: I cannot condemn you to hell. No one can condemn you to hell. God cannot condemn you to hell. YOU must do that yourself!
YOU must condemn yourself! How do you condemn yourself to hell? You do it by denying God, by denying Jesus Christ. God gave you, me, and everyone the gift of "free will." With that faculty of "free will" you get to choose -- no, you MUST choose if you want to follow Christ, or if you want to follow the world.
Follow Christ -- eternal life in the presence of God -- heaven.
Follow the world -- eternal life outside the presence of God -- hell.
Your choice, and YOUR choice ONLY. NO ONE can make that choice for you. You MUST make it. And, by not making a choice -- the default choice is not good, it is really hell.
So, Chick, et al, I pray that we have cleared up your misunderstanding and relieved you of your problem with snickering and giggling. But, most of all -- I pray that, in some small way, you may be encouraged to turn from the world and turn to follow Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.
But, to do that -- you must put away all your bitterness and hatred. For your sake, I pray you will do that.
God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,
Bill
