In layman’s terms, that means that local stations running the Limbaugh show by bartering ads instead of paying the syndication fee, will get the show for free for two weeks, with the ability to run their own advertising to make up for some of the revenue they’re bleeding as national advertisers flee the coup.

BTW, this might be a good time to remind you that Rush’s flagship station in New York, WABC, is NOT a Clear Channel affiliate. It’s Cumulus. You know, the guys who will soon have their own anchor show at noon, hosted by one Mike Huckabee…

Cumulus isn’t even hiding it:

Cumulus CEO Lew ****ey … says Cumulus has “seen a real opportunity” to talk about Cumulus Media-syndicated Mike Huckabee, whose daily three-hour show launches in April. ****ey says Huckabee has already signed up 110 affiliates, with the tagline, “more conversation, less confrontation.”

So is this like the radio show/station that had Garofalo and Franken that went toes up? They broadcast Liberal ideas and were not called on anything they said yet still got canned..the Right did not call for them to be fired but let the public opion and lack of an audience show their worth..don't think that Rush will be in that situation..don't recall anybody on the right jumping for joy or celebrating that they were taken off the air..I am glad for the listing someone posted of the companies that have stopped ads as I will stop dealing with them..am sure it will not hurt them but it will sure make me feel good..
