OUCH!!!! The truth hurts sometimes....
Maybe some of the die hard Bammer fans will get onboard and support UNA and D2 football. This past season UNA had the best winning record of ANY NCAA college in Alabama.
For those of you that haven't attended any of the UNA games, then your missing a great event along with some fun tailgating. Spirit Hill may not be the best of places to tailgate but you can't argue with the price (free) which includes a parking pass. Oh and now adult beverages are allowed to be consumed as long as they're poured in a cup. We did all 5 home games this year and had one heck of blast and consumed a few brews. Plan on doing it next year also.
I love going to UNA games but the crowd is usually so dead its not even funny. I remember at the last playoff game early on in the game it was a crucial third down and the crowd was just setting there with their arms crossed. It gets depressing at times. I was trying to get the ones around me to just stand and they looked at me like i was from a different planet. Iv been to high school games that are louder and have more crowd excitement. However, i did go to deshler and have memories of war with alexandria and a packed "pirate ship" at boaz that im sure milwee remembers very well. That being said, UNA football is a great display of DII football and im proud to be a LION!
