In light of the tornadic weather, SPEAK UP!

'The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.'

'When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.'

'And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms.'

'An elective despotism was not the government we fought for.' - Thomas Jefferson

You guys got tornadoes?

I guess it's a good thing somebody didn't take advantage of your condition and spank you, huh? LMAO! Wink

Heard the Weather Radio go off and 10 to 15 seconds WallCloud 19 had it on. That's not bad. 31 is bad for weather.

You're still getting tornadoes this morning?

Oh, and dogsoldier, who says I didn't get a spanking last night....and enjoy it? Wink

I've got a headache....need coffee.
48 had it out just before the sirens went off here is Sheffield/Tuscumbia. The sirens are horrible where I live, we barely heard them at all (this is the first time we have heard them since moving into our new house). We had between a minute and two mintutes warning about the doppler tornado before it went over the house, just enough time to grab the baby hit the basement.

I think the issue here is there was no watch out or anything, this thing just formed near us and was unexpected.....

Big Grin
I can get Huntsville or Nashville for severe weather. The Nashville guys had a dilemma last night. At 10pm when it was news time, they were covering a tornadic storm over Lawrence/Maury counties in Southern Middle Tennessee. They were torn between doing flood coverage and doing coverage of that storm. Huntsville wasn't saying anything about the tornado here, and Channel 2 in Nashville grudgingly did a storm track and stayed with it, especially since it was headed toward Franklin and Brentwood.

The local TV stations I watch, both in Alabama and in Tennessee, are not taking full advantage of their extra channels. 19 switched back to golf too soon yesterday...we had a tornado warning going on then, too. Why don't they put the regular programming on 19.2 and do the weather coverage on 19? I know that everyone doesn't get 19.2 but I think a tornado warning is more important than a golf tournament and I would feel that way even if the warning was not for me.

And why doesn't everyone have all the channels? Do some cable companies just decide not to carry them?

Are you sure it was your roundhouse kick?

i've gotten to old and fat for the round-house kick to be very effective, but my .50 caliber Desert Eagle keeps things in line around here Cool
We made it, had a few scary moments when they were mentioning the very area that we live in and the side road that runs by us,, they mentioned everything except our street name and subdivision. I live in Florence and we had a rough bout with it last night. Thank goodness we made it... Thanks. p.s. It is coming a severe thunderstorm as we speak. Good grief!!!!!
