Well, we made it through the rain and the storms. My family in West TN survived, but had ALOT of damage. Tornado went through Selmer, TN, and then moved through McNairy County, destroying alot of my familys vehicles and property (luckly their homes were damaged, not detroyed). Friends in Spring Hill, TN (right off the Trace) are still waterlogged and cant get off their property, once they get to the road word is the bridges are damaged in both directions (they live near a creek), so there is no telling how long they will be there (500 + year flood). Much of Savannah TN (and Hardin County) was underwater most of the day, literally.

The Shoals dodged a bullet this weekend, thats for sure. It wouldnt have taken much for that rain to set up shop right over the top of us instead.

Our old house was that way, and I miss it. The tornado sirens only go off for tornados, which is what I want to get up in the weee hours of the morning for. The weather radios go off for just about anything. I dont need to know about a Severe Tstorm warning or a flash flood warning, the thunder will tell me about the Tstorm and, if I get flooded, I have alot more than water to worry about (since I live on a huge hill, the world will be coming to an end.)

Now all I have is a weather radio. And the topping on the cake is the fact that my wonderful new neighbors were bragging about a month ago about how much they fought the city (and won) when they (the city) wanted to put a siren here in the neighborhood. They thought it would look ugly and lower the property values. Sheesh.....

I hear you jeep. Glad you and your family are ok. Those sirens do sound spooky as hell but I for one am glad to have them. Weather radios are pretty much useless. and radio and tv do the best they can. A scanner is helpful but we can use all the warning we can get. Sure beats what we had when I was a kid.

I guess it's a good thing somebody didn't take advantage of your condition and spank you, huh? LMAO! Wink

You're still getting tornadoes this morning?

Oh, and dogsoldier, who says I didn't get a spanking last night....and enjoy it? Wink
