All day today, one of the phones down the hall has inexplicably been "picking up" on speakerphone like someone is just about to dial out. But no one is in the room. I turn it off, some minutes later, after I leave the room, it picks up again. It never picks up while I'm in the room. It's gotten awful cold in there, and the red chair has been moved.

Who knows why. I guess I better call the ghost hunters. BWAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!

Or a phone repairman. Roll Eyes

why would somebody pose as my grandmother and tell me she was with jesus? that's just mean of you to try to discount something that meant as much to me as when my children was born. knowing she was at peace and in heaven gave me peace and i'll stand by it to the day i die.

Not saying you didn't experience something. I had an experience after my father's death. Had a dream and he told me the funeral was "mighty fine" He was wearing a pink plaid shirt. I thought that was weird because my dad was a tough guy that I had never seen in pink....But when we were cleaning out his closets later, I found the shirt in my dream... i almost fainted.
Maybe your grandmother sent you a message, but it wasn't her who delivered it. JMHO
I believe it because the Bible says it.
After I wrote my first regional ghost story book, I was approached by countless people who all had their own story to tell. 98% of these stories were about deceased loved ones who had "come back" to let the bereaved person know they were okay. I doubt any of these people would tell you they felt the spirit they saw or felt was a poser especially when they were left with good feelings.

I, for one, would love to have that assurance if I were to lose someone close to me.

Not a one of us on this earth knows all the answers to what happens after we die and I would never presume to discount another person's experience.

This is the photo the ghost hunters took at my store. Other than some emf readings, this was the neatest thing they got.

Flash reflected off the white wall, creating lens flair. Also a dust particle is reflecting the flash back into the lens. That happens a lot, even with video.

The 2nd pic could be done in Photoshop in about 5 minutes. If not, most likely a reflection of someone in the room. Just like anything else, people reflect light. Sunlight hitting a person would be reflected on the glass, making that image.
This pic was made in the corner of my living room in Sept. about three years ago. There is also another pic made at the same time that shows the halo a bit larger.
And i have two Christmas pictures of my son standing by the tree near the same corner and there is something (not the halo) above his left shoulder. The two pics were made a minute or two apart (there's a clock in the pics) and both show the same something.
In the posted pic....no lamps or overhead light on, and no flash on the camera since it was daylight and the door and front curtains were open. No passing traffic since i'm the last house on a deadend street.
So, whatever explanation the skeptics come up with....don't matter. It's still a neat picture Smiler
I have a touch of clairsentience and am aware of at least one good spirit in this house.

seriously, it's the design in the material....the light part you're looking at is vases and the dark that looks like eyes is the blue background.

Cool. Just starting to study ORBS. Do you know anything about this? Talked to a friend in Kentucky who is a paralegal and she mentioned ORBS. I am not sure what the difference is, between ORBS and apparitions.

When my sis and i were younger we referred to orbs as "electronic dust bunnies."...lol.
The difference between orbs and apparitions is that orbs are the energy of a spirit while an apparition is more of a physical representation of a spirit.
And orbs are usually Angel energy.

Puf, love that pic, looks like a halo.

Does anyone know about that small cemetery in Florence near Blackberry Trail that is surrounded by a brick wall in a subdivision?? It's near St. Florian I think. I took a picture there once at night, and all that came back was a solid red screen. It scared me to death, I took another pic and it was normal. It has a historical marker beside it and was near the site of a Civil War skirmish.

Nola, was anyone smoking, when that picture was taken? Not to be rude, but it looks more like ciggarette smoke than a ghostie. If not, then that is definitely interesting. Big Grin

As for the post. I definitely believe in "paranormal activity". I've witnessed things myself, that I cannot explain, and I've had a few experiences too.

I am however, slightly skeptic. xD hehe.. I do enjoy Ghost Hunters (the show) and GHI. They go in trying to DISPROVE before they prove, which makes it more serious, and factual- I think. Smiler

One of my most memorable experiences, my husband and I were in bed one night, sleeping. Our hall light, when turned on or off, makes a LOUD very distinct "click" noise. That night, we both were awoken, at the same time, to it clicking on and off. My husband thought someone was in the house, and opened our bedroom door to find it on, but no one around. He looked all through the house and everything. xD

Things have been happening here, but that's the most provable thing that I can share. Other things, such as lights flickering, or the channels on the tv changing, can have a reason- I guess. Smiler

I'd personally, love to go on a Ghost hunt. Even if I didn't find anything, I think the actual investigating would be a lot of fun to do. Smiler

it did move a dvd once. i was d/s with a few friends. we were about to leave the house do some bowling. on the way to the bowling alley, we were going to drop a movie off at blockbuster. my friends saw the dvd in my hand when we went upstairs. i laid it down to show them some pictures. after looking at the pictures i reached for the dvd. it was gone. we looked all over and found it in the basement.

another time i had a fluorescent light in the downstairs bathroom that always stayed on. it was a bathroom with no windows and stayed dark.
one night i was washing clothes during the night (the washer and dryer was in the d/s bathroom) and went into the bathroom to put the clothes in the dryer. someone had flipped the switch and cut the light off and i was the only one there.

another time, a towel was sitting on the sink counter when i went into the bathroom. (again while doing laundry) i went back in there 30 minutes later and the towel was in the sink.

another time i was washing a load of clothes. this was when i first moved in and the water going into the washer dripped. during the week or so before i fixed it, i would have to reach behind the washer and cut the cold water on by hand. i would put in a load, turn on the cold water and after it was finished i would have to turn the water off to keep it from leaking.
i washed a load of cloths and when i went to take them out of the washer, i reached back to cut the water off. it was already off and again, i was the only one home.
i didn't going into that basement unless i had to, so when i washed clothes, i would get them in the washer and right into the dryer when the finished. get it done and get out. i looked at the setting on the washer just to make sure i had it set on only cold water.

no one was smoking at that time. several pics were taken at the same time, some within seconds of each other and no others had it.

the same thing happened a few years ago to me and some friends at desoto state park.
we rented a chalet and when we got there i took several pictures when we went in. no one was smoking and you can see the same kind of thing in one of those pics. it looks like smoke, but it's not.

Nash, the walls weren't white, the photos were taken without a flash and the O'Neal house window is on the second story so it would be very difficult for a woman in 19th century dress to be reflected in the glass.
Why would I photoshop a picture and post it on here?

The walls may not be white, but they are a light color. There is also plenty of low angle light bouncing around. You can see it on the stairs. I see that all the time, it's lens flare.

The 2nd picture may not be photoshopped, but it could easily be a reflection of someone on the inside, or something outside reflecting on the glass.

Humans naturally look for recognizable shapes, especially faces. It's called matrixing. Kind of like seeing the Virgin Mary in a tortilla or an elephant in the clouds. Reflections off of glass combined with matrixing can be pretty deceiving.

The bigger picture with all the smoke looking stuff is exactly that, smoke. Cigarette smoke floating in the air can look quite a bit more solid when it reflects a flash. The faces that appear is another example of matrixing. Just like seeing shapes in the clouds.

Sorry, just haven't seen any pictures that are convincing.
