Is this the same or a portion of the building that was recently razed (Florence Clinic)? I didn't think so, as the entrance/front looks different to me.

I'm not sure but it looks like the building on Tuscaloosa Street across from where the old Starkey's used to be.
Even picturing it with the front part built in, the brick is the wrong color. The old Florence clinic was white/sand colored brick.

That building was the old YMCA, and the front is different.
I think Starkey's was the original ECM, but the building pictured doesn't really match up to it, either.
No, the picture is NOT the old Florence Clinic that was torn down.

The original Clinic Building on Seminary was red brick, the new (lol-added in the 70's) annex was sandstone colored brick, however that picture looks more like the sanitarium that was at Tennessee and Locust, now an apartment building.
I think this was the original building on Seminary.........I think part was torn down when it was re-modeled
I think they added on to the original clinic in the late 40s or early 50s so the front looked different after that. The "new" part thats still there was built about 1973.

What was in Tennessee Court Apartments before? Was the sanitarium for alcoholics?

If memory serves me correctly it was a TB ward, but please don't quote me for I'm not sure.

That is the address for the old Florence Clinic (now Wilson Park Medical Arts or something like that) across from Wilson Park. The old part of the clinic they tore down was not the original clinic... there was a building there before that. But this one in the picture does look like the old apartment building on the corner of Tennessee and Locust streets (behind Magnolia Gardens I)... in better days, of course.
