Yes you are correct, it is the Keystone Executive Center. It was the Cotton Exchange building at one time, however it also is a only a two story building.
The owners had an abstract of title assembled several years ago to show the history of the building and had it on display in the lobby at one time. I don't know if it's still displayed for public viewing.
It was POOF, Pre-Owned Office Furniture for many years. It sits on an opposite corner than the photo of the hotel, and is as uw said, just two stories. I know the Reeder is not in existence, but I'm not sure if it burned or was torn down as was the Hotel Negley.
FV the Reeder was torn down to build the building that sits there now. It was originally Sizzler Steak House.
Good Luck trying to tell people that UW, I've been saying that's where it was for days......it's amazing how even if people realize they don't know they will not accept the fact someone else does,"They don't know much but they know more than I do".By the way what is your connection to softball at uw I'm an Underwood boy myself
LOL, yeah and I've been agreeing with you for days.
Coach, serve on the board, clean bathrooms, cut grass, grill hamburgers and hotdogs and anything else that's needed to promote a positive influence on a child thru baseball and softball LOL you know what I'm talking about don't you!

Yeah I love that old rock pile ball park.......my daughters 22 so I haven't been softballing much lately but the boys fixin to be 14...I was on the board for years and still coached as late as last year, bout 15 years I guess
The only way it could have been where Brinley Bros (old Western Sizzlin') is, is for it to have faced the same direction Brinley's does now because according to the picture there is a street to the right (notice the fire escape on that side). I thought the address for the Reeder was Tennessee Street. For it to be listed that way, the front entrance had to be facing Tennessee Street. Not to dispute anything anyone here has said about where it was located.... I'm just going by what the picture shows and the placement of the streets.
It was bordered on the West by an alley-that is what you are seeing. See my previous posts on the subject. I have also verified that location by the Evans and Meades Map of the City of Florence.
E. Z.: My son just turned 15. So We are one level above you. LOL I think I know who you are now. Are you a big time Stevie Ray Vaughn fan and does the term "Planet Underwood" mean anything to you, or Babe Ruth was an orphan etc......

uw, what was the two-story building directly to the east of the Reeder? I'm sure it would have been razed at the same time.
UW you know who you're talking to........how's it going C.W.......East Tennessee......south side circa late 60's.....Pittsurgh Paint, Bellanger Pritning( later army /navy store), Hotel Reeder,Anderson Import & Exporters,Bunch Barber Shop andGraham and Son Piano House
It's going great E. Z. Hope C and your mom are doing well. I keep both of your sayings on my desk-sometime I hope to get us a few shirts printed up with it LOL. True words of wisdom LOL. C getting ready for the season????
FV: E. Z. just nailed it for you. I had forgotten that's where Anderson was until he reminded us. Pittsburgh Paint and the War Surplus were where Bunch & James are now. Spent many a Saturday afternoon digging around in the old War Surplus Store. Sure do miss it.

You probably knew my Dad then...he coached there for 21 years total. Started when I played at the old field at Underwood School. Even BEFORE they built the concession stand.
Heck....you may even know me.
Ha Ha, yeah we probably do!
I'm sure I would know him, remember selling sacks of light bulbs to raise money to light that field..........or how about " Burning the water off"?
