To be fair, I am not a steak and potato person. That being said...
All of my friends are always raving at how good Logans Roadhouse is. I have never been to Outback, Texas Roadhouse. I tried Logan's for the first time today.
I got a chopped steak with a nacho appetizer and a nutter butter fudge thing. The food was decent. The rolls (everyone are always raving about) were ok. They were definitely nothing special. They were just overly greasy rolls.
The steak was ok. It was not unlike anything i have had before. I got fries and macaroni with it. The fries were really dry with no seasoning. The mac&cheese was pretty good. Nothing special...
The nachos were surprisingly tasty. The cheese, chips and chili were really flavorful.
The "nutter butter fudge slide" was ok. It was really small. It tasted like frozen peanut butter. Again, nothing special.
Oh, and the free peanuts. Who cares? It's peanuts.
The service was excellent. I mentioned to my waitress it was my first visit. The manager paid me a personal visit and gave me a card for a free appetizer apon a return visit.
The waitress constantly attended to me. Again, excellent service.
but....
Why are places like this so popular and always packed? To me, the food is very bland. Maybe texas and outback are better? I don't see myself going back to Logans.
