do you have songs that just stop you in your tracks when you hear them? marty robbin's version of this song came on the radio this morning and did that to me.

'i don't know the answer to the easy way she opened every door in my mind' - i love that!

i couldn't find marty's version, but this is kristofferson, who wrote it and you can't beat that.

You gotta love the old classic "He Stopped Loving Her Today", I can remember hearing my Dad sing that song on the road to vacation while sitting in the back of his old Chevy with the windows down. He thought he could carry a tune, LOL, and still does, God bless him and the little pygmies...

BTW HG did they play this while you were skinny dipping at the picnic???? Hate I missed it....LOL

he stopped loving her today is the greatest country song of all time, bar none. that's another track stopper!

love 'curtis lowe' by skynard, too.

I see you can now pronouce it right, since you found it that it was not "asian"....LOL

The Gong Show....LOL.....that would have been if myself or rramlamm-er had jumped in there.

"Curtis Lowe" by Skynard is what we used to refer to in college as "goat roping" music....LOL

"...but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD" (Joshua 24:15)
"American Pie" (The Day the Music Died) by Don McLean really does it for me. It's the first song my husband and I ever sang along to together. It's been 16 years since we first did that and we still sing along with it together whenever it comes on the radio. The song is so eloquent but just so sad to me because it relates to such a senseless tragedy. Three extraordinarily talented young men, dead far too soon, because their tour promoters wanted a little more money.

Love that movie...my favorite line is when Texas Jack said Where's Wyatt? to which Doc Holliday replied "Down by the creek, walking on water." Cool
