You are right KS -- I am wrong -- oh wait, that's what the whole point was -- there is no right and wrong. In a nutshell I posted what most all of the posts have been about for the past several months -- they are not discussions -- you make them personal and they become fights -- just like this one and it shouldn't be that way.
I haven't seen you on here much the past few months for whatever reason -- yes, I tend to be a reader because why would I want to get into a big discussion where when I do point out something -- someone like you will ocme in and tell me I am wrong -- that my opinion is WRONG when it is that -- MY OPINION. Of which, I'm entitled too and if you don't like it -- so what. I don't have to like your either.
Discuss all you want -- you want limitations -- fine ask for them -- get them -- and then when the TD starts censoring things for you like the other site did -- don't complain and don't run off to the forum that doesn't have limitations. Careful what you ask for you will get it.
The first few months this forum was up -- I enjoyed it. I posted a lot more back then, but in recent weeks -- it's not worth my time -- I glance over -- see who the main talkers are and already know your opinion SEVERAL THOUSAND TIMES OVER and move on.
Ya'll are turning this into something major because you don't like it that someone hijacked your thought -- it's actually very sadly entertaining...just like the Florence City Council Meetings ...
I just agree with YanKeeWitch -- that is shouldn't matter who posts or how many times a day -- if you want to make it a clique or personal club or gang -- go for it ... I am not a joiner so I don't need an invitation...not that you would offer one.

stephanie, first let me tell you that I agree with you... sincerely!!! I mean that too. I do tend to get way too passionate about certain details, and I have tried to stay away from them as much as I can. I DO see that flaw in myself... so please don't feel bad about pointing it out.
Also, I am not the POST POLICE, and I am sorry if it sounded that way... I just wish some of the older GREAT discussions hadn't of gotten lost in that black hole, and I don't have time to go back and find them.

I know this is stupid. I was only trying to make a board hog leave. I think this has been the topic by SEVERAL people in PM's and even on the board. It is pointless and the ol dog just thought I would try. So, it takes ALL kinds I guess. Maybe there are those who like seeing 100 posts on CNN topics. I'll stick to local issues since THIS is the only forum I know of that is genuinely Locally tied in. I do hope you understand my frustation, as I am sure you do. (I'll still put on gloves at Braly if the money's right LOL) THE DOG

I could have chosen a lot of post to respond to: decided this one wraped the whole thing up on one tidy nutshell. I have patiently sit by, as I KNOW many of you have, and slowly watch PBA post hundreds of posts that anyone can see on MSNBC or CNN and see the "talking heads" argue to death. And Bluesman articulated EXACTLY what is bothering me and A LOT of other people on this forum (at least by the PM's I have gotten last night and in the past) that most are SICK of 100 post or more a day on "world events". AS for feeling sorry for PBA, I can't prove it, I am sure the moderator at TD can, but I was on this board at the conception and someone named "shoalslover" came on with the same MO and started posting all the off the wall national topics that had nothing to do with the Shoals. At the time, those of us on here discussed mainly local issues and it became a sore spot because this poster would take what we were talking about and try to give it a national spin. Suddenly this person "disappeared" and reimerged as PBA. Kindred and themax, where are you, back the ol dog up on this! LOL I think I was TRYING to do the group a favor, but if you want the board clogged with AP reports, I'll quit. As someone else said, just don't open them and I haven't in a long time. It was just that last night when I was watching NBC news and they had the tornado on it and then I look at the board and here is a "newsflash" from PBA i just lost it. PBA is on my blessed ignore list (as I know he she or it is on a lot of others) so I will let this Walter Cronkite or Diane Sawyer wannabe post on! THE DOG

I think we are in a situation that only AP, AM or TD's ADMIN TEAM can handle... They are doing the ADMIN thing all wrong, they ONLY exercise power IF someone complains... when in reality they should be reading each post, each reply and doing LOADS AND LOADS of deletions!!!!
I watch CNN, ABC, CBS, MSNBC and FOX when my stomach is strong, lol.. and I don't have to come to a forum for the "wrap up" on it all.. you are correct on that!!!!
What we really need is MORE LOCAL stuff!!!
WHAT WE REALLY NEED IS A POLITIC FORUM so if someone WANTS to play that game, they can... THE NEWS should be local, or state but POLITICS should be separate!!!

Oh. my now I see what you are talking about. I just noticed that in several of ones postings they rate 5 after only 3 or 4 replys.And one or two replys were bt the topic starter. I just find it odd. I don't rate posts, especilly not ones I started.

bluesman, I think themax and myself was looking at the SAME post... It was posted by PBA, and had ONE reply made by PBA and it had FIVE checkmark rating. There were others, but that one stood out so much and that was why I told themax that it was a good catch.
I don't rate my own post, never have, never will...but I have a couple of times rated others posts because I thought they were GOOD and needed a way of standing out.
I even rated THIS one!!!
