Mama Jean's

A while back they were closed on Saturdays. Fridays is their busiest night, I would imagine for fish night. I bet they are closed for the holiday weekend.

What time did you go? I know Garden Gate closes around 8-so does Mama Jeans I think.

You drove 10 miles to eat at mama jeans? Thats your own problem. You need your head examined. That place is beyond godd awfull. You should have eaten at the texaco instead. It would have been better. (same with garden gate)

Where would you recommend for a good country meal of meat and veggies?

Mare don't listen to boogie. He obviously doesn't know decent food when it slaps him in the face. I have always had good food at Mama Jeans. Boogie you need your head examined for being so darn hateful. How in the world is she suppose to know wheather the food is good if she doesn't try it.

boogieman, I am dining with you! As we were drving past Mama Jean's last Wed., my husband exclaimed that it was one place he never planned to enter again! That's one time we were in total agreement!

Jody's has a pretty good Sunday lunch that offers meat and veggies.

Everything i get at Mama Jeans is always cold and lacks proper seasoning. I dont eat there.

FYI:We happened to be in or near Leighton today and since it was 11:15, we decided to eat at Momma Jean's. We went, sat down and before we could read menu; the server was there to take drink order. Tea brought right out; orders taken! Total elapsed time about 4 minutes. Ordrs were taken and i looked at my watch just to see how bad it was going to be. Exactly 6 minutes passed before food was on table. Exactly as ordered. Only complaint, the meat loaf could have been warmer; it was not cold but just warm. Otherwise the meat and three were very good. Total bill about 15.00. Will do it again if I am close by at eating time but would not make special trip just to dine there. Too may others a lot closer!
