What do we do when the idiot in Power (GWB) puts a VETO on everything ? And spends Billions more afterward's (when we finally decide enough is enough) to REBUILD their (Iraq)stinking country.

The war in Iraq is just a ploy to take your minds of the real problems here in this country WAKE UP AMERICA! WE ARE BEING SOLD OUT by those who are suppose to be our leaders.

One gets the feeling that all these newly elected Democrats have been visited by agents giving them their orders. Perhaps it's a script of 'Do as you're told or you and and your family die'? Anything short of that and it already seems apparent we have been betrayed. There seems to be a dictatorship firmly in place in America.

In 2002, the Bush Administration's case for war focused on Saddam's supposed stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction and alleged ties to al Qaeda. These democrats that won were not the reform candidates but the part hacks. The real reform candidates were defeat in the primaries. I think Lamont was an ant war candidate that won the primary but lost to Lieberman in the election.
I think one or maybe two real reformers won. They can join the progressive democratic caucus but it is small in number compared to the corporate congressman who are the majority and beholden to Lobbyists and the corporate media.

The corporate media made all this fan fare as if real change was going to happen but it will all be token, just for PR. Even the war. The media made all these headlines about the Baker-Hamilton report but all it said was the oil is vital to the US and this current strategy is not working and we need to withdraw from the conflict, but leave a presence in there.
We just want a puppet government to let the oil corporations loot the country and ship the oil to the West. Then it's on to Iran, Syria and the whole region. Don't forget, we built those permanent bases there.

There is not really a dictatorship in place but more of an oligarchy, an elite ruling class that rules America, always has. Like the old Robber Barons.

I thought of something I wanted to add about the volunteer army and that is the current army in Iraq is already questioning the war. They are a volunteer army and those who have stepped forward and refused to go back, or serve, say that there is all kinds of dissension among the soldiers but for now they are keeping quiet for various reasons. Some out of fear and others just want to go home and continue with their lives. Even as a volunteer professional army, many do have a conscious and are not comfortable with what's going on over there.

Their first 'plan' being to send a statement, by Congressional vote that they are against the 'surge', is going to be filibustered by a NEOCON. That way, it won't go to a vote, and NEOCONS won't have to let their constituents know where they stand. If democrats don't back down, they won't get anything else done. They need to deal with illegal activities of this administration. They need to get investigations going quickly, and keep it in the media (if that's possible. The media ignored them after bush's speech.) OR, people could march, in huge numbers, to send NEOCONS a strong message.
