Alabama, a small red state, receives a lot of funds from DC.  Not handouts, but for expensive military bases and scientific facilities.  Consider Redstone Arsenal, called Pentagon south, by the military.  It has the Army Materiel Command -- Wal-Mart for the Army.  Except for fresh food, bulk fuel, and medical supplies, it buys or makes everything the Army use. Plus, contracts for repairing or runs its own repair facilities, for same.  The FBI, Air Defense, Security Assistance Command, NASA, Aviation and Missile Command, and other high end agencies reside there.

There's Ft. Rucker, which provides basic aviation training for all the services helicopter pilots and advanced training for the Army.  There's Anniston Army Depot, which repairs and rebuilds from the hull up heavy armor, such as the Abrams M1 tank.  There are two reserve air bases in Montgomery, a navy facility in Mobile.  Navy ships are built in Mobile.  Alabama has one of the largest national guards and reserves.

Then, there are old folks collecting Social Security and Medicare.  Those aren't giveaways, but return on investment from their contributions. Add all those military that retire in Huntsville, Montgomery and near Ft. Rucker.

Then, there's California, with 12 percent of the nation's population, it has 33 percent of the total nation's homeless and those on welfare.

And California takes less Federal Welfare money than Alabama. Again, facts are not important to liarstraights. Alabama ranks 4th in money received in Federal Welfare money. All the "Red States" are the 'gimmethat' states, but Republicans love to cry about certain cities and I'm sure we're gonna hear how bad Chicago is, before this is over.

Oh, and 3 more Alabama Republicans went to jail today... Corrupt Alabama Republicans. You don't have to make stuff up, they do it to themselves.
