I am secure in my beliefs, my faith in God, and his Son Jesus Christ. I chose to believe that though I may sin and fall from grace, if I truly repent and ask forgiveness of God, then he will grant it. I chose to believe that if I continue to follow his teachings, and strive daily to serve him, then I will go to Heaven when I die.

I also know that no matter what I say, you will have some snide anti-Christian or anti-Bible remarks or arguments. To me, you are a perfect example of Fractual Wrongness.

I agree, Autumn. I've heard people I truly respect as Christians, that have studied their Bibles all their lives, give me valid reasons for both interpretations. That's one of the reasons I let the Holy Spirit be my guide when interpreting scripture rather than follow a man or woman's interpretation.

For me, it boiled down to freedom..."whom the Son sets free is free indeed". I'm free now and I'm not going back. I obey because He set me free, made me whole, because I love Him. I can't live like that, afraid of losing my salvation if I fail. I know that I will fail. So the loss is inevitable if I believed that way. I of course do not fault anyone else that does believe you can lose your salvation. However, every fiber of my being tells me it's a forever relationship, unbreakable - "nothing can separate me". I'll not give up the confident assurance that makes life worth living. I have been sealed forever & my name has been written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Mercy, that's shoutin' ground. Big Grin
Joy, I agree with you. I am not going back either. I make mistakes every day, as I am human. I pray for help, guidance, and forgiveness everyday. I think it is possible to turn away from God and walk away from Christ. However, I will not. I'm sure you will not either.

I was not trying to preach to anyone, condemn anyone, or change their personal beliefs. I was just admitting that I don't know who is correct, so I will just keep living as I believe, and let others do the same. Smiler
