Does it bother anyone else that some of the links in the news articles point to the wrong thing?
For example the recent passing of a friend of mine Buddy Killen. When you click on the link in his name it refers to the town of Killen Alabama. This has nothing to do with the man.
In the Law and Order article today: http://www.timesdaily.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20...01170327/1011/NEWS01
has many wrong links in it.
  • LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. -- Two Lawrence County men have been arrested in connection with the burglaries of three local businesses, officials said. If you click on the Lawrence County link it takes you to Lawrence County Alabama NOT Lawrence County Tn.
  • Unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle: Cigarettes and 60 prescription pills were taken from a 1998 gold Ford Explorer in a parking lot on Cox Creek Parkway. When clicking on the link for Cox Creek Parkway it refers to: The Creek are an American Indian people originally from the southeastern United States. What does Cox Creek Parkway have to do with the Creek people?
  • Burglary: A five-gallon water jug filled with coins and miscellaneous jewelry were taken from a residence in the 200 block of North Cherokee Street. That link talks about: Cherokee is a town in Colbert County, Alabama.
    NOT a street in Florence.
I think this is just laziness on the part of the webmaster at the TD site. Is it just me or does it bother anyone else? I'd like to know.

I'm not so sure that it is laziness on the TD webmaster's part. It is probably just some script that runs and links automatically to "locally used words". If it was a "laziness" issue, you would not have ANY links.
I think we all can applaud the webmaster of the TD for making this a refined site and ten times more efficient than it was a few months ago.
