If Alabama is so broke, why do they keep having 'special sessions' that cost a lot of money?

simple, most politicians don't understand budgets. First start with education, there isn't enough time spent on how to live (budgets, insurance, taxes). They love spending someone else's money.
I've long advocated that members of the US Congress be limited as to terms they may serve. I also believe they should be treated like soldiers circa WWII. Make them stay in barracks. House would have the bunk beds, with a couple of small roomas like the corporals used to have for the Speaker of the House and majority/minority leaders. Senate would have single beds as they are the senior branch. Meals all to be at a messhall, with MREs for lunch. Provide a school bus to transport them to and from the Capitol. When, they finished on time, throw a big meal at one of the better DC restaurants with wine included. Such treatment would cost the taxpayers much less, provide incentives for congress to do their jobs. Then, git! It would even save them money as they wouldn't have to rent/buy expensive DC housing.
Seems, the same treatment might be given to state assembly members. Aren't there a couple of Air Force bases in the Montgomery area?

Do you support the republican supermajority it Alabama government?
Dire, they wouldn't have any privacy to use and enjoy what the lobby guys are providing them.

None of your business. As suggested to you before, take care of Tennessee's business and let the citizens of Alabama take care of theirs.
Gifted, if you are a typical right wing Alabama voter, you better want me to take care of your states business, you can't

We're doing just fine without you. You've shown that as a typical left wing gimmethat voter you can't keep your own business and your lies straight. Why would we want you nosing into our business? Fix Tennessee and shut up about Alabama.

You can't vote in Alabama, or maybe you can since you slops know how to run voter fraud on the country. Anywho, you supposedly live in TN and can't vote or have any say in Alabama's politics. As Gifted posted, you can't handle your own gimmethat business much less someone else's. You slops trying to run others' business and stick your noses in where they aren't welcome or needed is why the country is in the bad shape it's in. But, as pointed out, Trump is president, and that is a start on the road to getting rid of the demoslops.

The state isn't ruined or bankrupt.

Alabama has a credit rating of AA, which is average. So, no, JT doesn't know what he is talking about. California has a rating of A, and is 49th. Illinois has a rating of A- and is 50th. Both ruined by Democrats for decades.

He just jerks things out of his *** and posts them, no rhyme, no reason, then denies doing it. Remember when he argued with us about Charter Schools in Alabama? Finally I put him out of his misery by showing and proving to him Alabama didn't have Charter Schools. It's always something bizarre with him. Remember his posts and denial of those posts about executing cops then saying there were hackers? LOL! As if anyone cared to hack him. I guess you've seen his latest, claiming I asked him something I didn't ask him, and claiming he was called names he wasn't called. I have no idea where his obsession with Alabama and Alabama politics comes from, but it is bizarre.
Deny, deny, deny. Alabama had a rainy day fund that got spent. How many special sessions have been called to "fix" budget shortfalls?

Dire, are you telling me that Alabama has not had a special session called to address budget shortages.

You really have no idea of the budget process, do you?

He has no idea about anything. As posted, he just pulls it out of his rear end.
Y'all educate me. Has Alabama had special sessions called because of budget shortages? If not, why were the special sessions called? Did Alabama have a "rainy day" fund that got spent in the last few years? I am waiting on your answers.
