It sounds like a prosecution is stating at the bottom ranks and then they'll try to flip someone in the middle level. I wouldn't bet that anything happens before the convention and maybe not before the general election. Obama had better use his pen and have a pardon ready before he hits the door January 2017.

Once he testifies to the grand jury, the game is in their court.  They will control who testifies and when.  Then, make their recommendation to DoJ.  Only then, we will learn there is a grand jury -- where there must be for someone to receive immunity.
