State Democratic official says Bill Maher will not appear at party's Huntsville reception

MONTGOMERY, Alabama- Republican women from across Alabama plan a news conference this morning to ask state Democrats to cancel a fundraising event in Huntsville Saturday with controversial television cable show host Bill Maher.

But, a state Democratic Party official said this morning that Maher will not appear at a party reception Saturday night before performing his standup comedy show at the Von Braun Center.

Bradley Davidson, executive director of the state Democratic Party, said this morning that Maher has not been invited to the reception and will not appear at the reception.

"They've been told that, but they continue to spread false information," Davidson said this morning. "They're getting their information from a Republican blog."

Looks like the old bait and switch....haha....I hope all the Demmies who paid to sit and hobnob with that fool get their money's worth.  I would not walk across the hall to see nor hear that embicile.  Why anyone would waste their money to listen to him is beyond me.  Larry the Cable Guy is more intelligent and certainly a more dapper dresser....haha

Tickets for the Huntsville show are quoted at $45, $60 and $75.

Sounds like the Demmies had, or have something planned, but are afraid to admit it.

Idiotor, the Charimans reception AND a ticket to the show costs $100.  Maher is not and was never to be at the reception.  I contacted some folks and tried to find a way to meet Maher, buy couldn't make it happen, as the block of tickets the Dem Party bought was sold out.

Why would the reception venue, food and drink be free???

Why do you assume that anyone would do anything in a manner familiar to you???

Idiotor, the event sold out.  In a few days.

The reception is still going to happen.

I sent Maher an email and told him of the controversy and encouraged him to reach out to the ADP and see if he COULD attend the reception.

I doubt he needed your email. They got caught. Sure, they can still have him there and deny they had that planned ahead, but their little trick of taking down the ad didn't work so they wouldn't get away with it. Just one more demogimme lie among millions.

Do you fools really think that Maher would spend any time with a bunch of hillbillys for less than $25,000 per hour???

$100 bucks per person for a reception for a maybe a hundred people when Maher is getting roughly $100,000 for his show appearance does not compute.

Don't try to baffle them with facts and common sense when they've got their conspiracy hackles up! If you try to explain to them that the reason the ad was taken down was because the event was sold out, their heads will be spinning so fast trying to come up with another conspiracy theory to explain it that they'll look like the little girl from the Exorcist.

Well juan, too bad that you, a self confessed hillbilly, couldn't get in. I told you what to do, if you'd listened to me maybe you'd have been able to sit and worship at maher's feet, and giggle and coo every time he called a woman a c*** or a t***.

You are unable to follow a simple thought process.

You are just too stopid to waste time on anymore.

Simple thought process is exactly what you have. Way too simple, more like a simpleton. Did you or did you not post that you had asked a "friend" to try to get you backstage to see maher? Go get that notebook like I suggested to you earlier,

Ah, that juan, what can we say about him except the biden is strong in that one.

You ignorant fvcking moron sIut.

I was trying to get a invite to the after party which has nothing to do with the pre-show reception.

 Consider yourself shunned.

The Democrats advertised a reception before Maher's performance. Who did you think the reception was for -- Maher's cat?  Yes, he was expected. Most performers go to such receptions, usually at no extra expense. Especially, if they agree with the organization's cause. Maher is not just a comic, but an Obama political contributer to the tune of $1 million.

Dems got Fluked and now they are trying to side step, while shuffling, shucking and jiving. Either, that, or the ad was a scam.  Its not a pretty picture, either way.

Thank you Linda Blair, for proving my point.

O No,

Your point was:

"Don't try to baffle them with facts and common sense when they've got their conspiracy hackles up! If you try to explain to them that the reason the ad was taken down was because the event was sold out, their heads will be spinning so fast trying to come up with another conspiracy theory to explain it that they'll look like the little girl from the Exorcist."

My head is neither spinning, nor am I regugritating lime jello.  Receptions are to meet and greet, usually performers or persons of interest.  ITC, it could only be Maher.  I've attended a number of such receptions at the National Theater and the Kennedy Center, so I know whereof I speak.  Dems got their knickers in a twist and did a nasty shimmy to get out of it.  All the while denying it every existed.

David Alexrod's performance on CNN was about the same -- saying a comedian was different from a talk radio jock.  Hypocrites, thy name is Democrat.

And *I* have been to events like this where the reception was NOT atteded by the "star". The meet and greets were put together so that like-minded people could get to know one another, supposedly. Actually I think that they wanted to "sweeten the pot" so that folks felt they were at least getting PART of their money's worth.

So, that being said, SOME of these events, the celebrities DO attend, and some of them they don't. There was nothing in the ad that idicated this particular celebrity would attend the reception, and the fact that it was sold out is the reason the ad was taken down.

All the rest is just hot air produced by your rapidly spinning head.
