More of the Same

How many of you have sons or daughters who left here for a better life with an actual future? How many of you, or someone you know, is under-employed. Or out of work? Why do we accept this from our "leaders." ?

I do. My daughter left to work in another state. Her choice was un or under employment here or go elsewhere and have a chance at a real career. That's a shame. Also, my son is in the military so that is kind of the same thing. I thought I should say that too.

hmmmm.............

I worked in the Shoals until Tee Jays closed down, then me and a BUNCH of other folks had to find jobs elsewhere. I found one in Atlanta and stayed there for several years. I tried to move back to the Shoals in late 2005, but couldn't find a job in the area. I live and work in Madison (and a few people from the Shoals work here, too) and I visit my friends and family in Florence every other weekend or so. It is amazing that a city the size of Florence has so little industry.

Yep. We have no shortage of BS "leaders" though. They are doing just fine.
