It gets worse.
Come on folks. It is time to dynamite this area's status quo political equation. We need to get into THIS CENTURY to have a chance. The younguns' are leaving for greener pastures. Who can blame them?

I worked in the Shoals until Tee Jays closed down, then me and a BUNCH of other folks had to find jobs elsewhere. I found one in Atlanta and stayed there for several years. I tried to move back to the Shoals in late 2005, but couldn't find a job in the area. I live and work in Madison (and a few people from the Shoals work here, too) and I visit my friends and family in Florence every other weekend or so. It is amazing that a city the size of Florence has so little industry.
