MS Airport

They have got to get real with their prices. It should be cheaper to fly from here than in major cities. The costs are less out of small markets, less flights and less personnel to pay for. You have to fly to Atlanta or Memphis and wait for the layover and that shouldbe another reason the price should be cheaper.

i thought they canceled the flights to memphis?
When it was northwest the only flew to memphis but since delta took over the only go to atlanta right?

not that it's any better, really, but my search turned up a price of $413.70 from MS to Houston

Difference in $$$ could be the specific dates I had to fly.

I have several friends who fly all the time for business mostly but occasionally pleasure. When I ask them about flying out of Muscle Shoals, they give me a look and then almost laugh. One I can think of flies at least 20-30 times a year for business and he usually goes to Huntsville or Nashville, depending on the destination....Muscle Shoals is not even considered.

Now and then I check a rate and schedule out of Muscle Shoals, most of the time I just think for that price I would drive to Atlanta. Anyway I fly out of Huntsville when I can since it usually takes less than an hour to get to the airport otherwise Nashville or Birmingham. Muscle Shoals airport's service and pricing are a joke.

We have used MS airport about 10-12 times this year, and until the holidays the prices were very little more than Huntsville and Birmingham. They went up four times the normal price just before Thanksgiving. Needless to say we are driving to Huntsville until they go back down, but they are so much more convenient we will use them again.

I remember when I was living in San Diego. It was cheaper for me to drive than to fly into MS Airport.
