Could anyone give some good recommendations for daycare in Muscle Shoals? We are having a baby in 7 weeks and after my wife's maternity leave is up we will need a part-time daycare (grandmother will watch her 2-3 times a week). Some of the ones I was thinking about are Kids Depot Learning Center on 2nd St, Creative Kids on Firestone Ave, Shoals Preschool Academy on Wilson Dam Rd, and Just Kids Childcare/Learning Center on Kelsey Ave. Does anyone have experience with any of these?

WOW...major decision..hard enough to leave a baby even when you have the very best, like grandparents. I don't remember the actual name but there is a very good one in Tuscumbia, on Main St. just North of Keller Library. In a Baptist Church.

The one in Tuscumbia is Calvary Baptist but they don't accept infants. Or, they used to not when I was looking for daycares (about a year ago). I can HIGHLY recommend First United Methodist Church Daycare in Muscle Shoals. I have two children and between them I have been in just about every single daycare and have enrolled my oldest in just about every one... I am very picky and this one is the *best* in my opinion.
Our son went to Creative Kids for 2 years and loved it. He was well-prepared for kindergarten thanks to his teachers. It's small, but they make good use of the space. It's owned by Dr. Charles Melvin, a pediatrician at Keller. There's also Mars Hill, just off of 6th Street, before you get to Wilson Dam Road if you're headed east.

I called Mars Hill but they said they do not accept part-time, only full.

Do you know if they accept part-time?
