When Rose was at Sheffield he turned that program around.
Rose didnt turn the program around. He had 2 great classes of players then SHS was just average. I had a son that played for him at SHS. Kevin is now the OC at BOB JONES.
I am sure rose is not a political player and that spells doom for him ever getting the ms job. 10th you have to have some talent to work with to be successful. So you more or less stated the facts. When rose had talent those two years the program did well. When he had average talent the program didn't do well. That goes with almost all coaches. You can't make chicken salad without the chicken.

Did he just recently accept this job..because as far as I know he is a coach at Hoover HS..
Oh I am sure kevin is thinking samething 10th. Who would want to be a part of that mess.

Ok now I see why he took the position ..he is getting paid $84,000 to coach football..wow.I guess there are some athletic director duties involved...It still is truly a shame that they didn't hire Rose..
Are we competing with Alabama? Looks like it to me, shame the support personel are at proverty level on their pay.

They are having a reception for coach Basden this sunday if I not mistaken. today was his first day and he is very nice.
I heard he met with all the male students today grades 6-11 and encouraged them to play football. I also heard he is brining in his own coaching staff. Looks like he may be serious.
Wish coach the best at muscle shoals as he will need it. Hopefully he can make some progress there. 
He is in the cafeteria every day and talks with allof the students. He already has next years schedules out and the play-off game dates are on there as well! I hope he succeeds! he is a very nice guy and he is bringing in some of his coaching staff.
