Maybe not connected, but my wife was sitting in front of Muscle Shoals Middle School waiting for 3pm when the kid gets out. She noticed a beater car with 2 or 3 huge Rottweiler dogs in the back seat. She said they barking so loud it made her hair stand up on her neck and the car the dogs were in was shaking from side to side. When my wife had the kid loaded and headed home, she saw that beater car had picked up a little boy and then noticed a group of people holding the little boys head up off the pavement besides the car. She thinks the dogs attacked the little boy after he was picked up at school.

Please don't hold your breath because it won't be in the paper or the shoals insider. The only one that has come close to guessing correctly is Smurph. Somethings just aren't meant for everone to know.

I actually find Keller to be a very good hospital, and it doesn't have the number of staph infections that ECM does. Keller is much cleaner.

Would you be able to provide us figures for that statement you made? or are you just repeating hearsay and gossip? I have seen figures and know that your statement is erroneous, neither hospital has an increased number of infections for their size nor when compared to the national average. Spouting and repeating rumor and gossip does nothing but hurt local businesses and reputations.
I agree with Teyates about the staph infections. I know someone that works at ECM and they know the figures about staph infections verses the national average. ECM has no more than any other hospital. That rumor about ECM and staph infections has been going around for years. Sure you may know someone that got a staph infection but a lot of people get them in all hospitals. It's going to happen sometimes. We all have staph on our skin all the time.

I saw on the Shoals Insider it was a Muscle Shoals Officer who apparently had a heart
attack.

You are correct -- I believe his first name is Ricky. He is expected to be ok, but he is very fortunate to have a partner that wouldn't take no for an answer and made him go to the doctor. I wish him a speedy recovery.

I've personally known 5 people who contracted staph while at ECM. I don't need statistics to tell me they have a problem with staph. The people who work there can deny it all they want, but I know better. Actually, I wouldn't let my dog be treated at ECM.

Facts are facts. It's hard to argue with them. Sounds like you known 5 unlucky people. I've known many people who have either had operations or had stays in ECM and didn't get staph. I recently had my second major surgery in two years at ECM with no problems.

yup yup staph is everywhere. long-term care facilities hate it when the hospitals send it to us tho.
