Hi Kate,

Actually, homosexuality goes back to early Old Testament days, i.e., Sodom and Gomorrah, and was prevalent in New Testament days, especially in Rome.   Many historians attribute Rome's corrupt sexual lifestyle to be a large part of the fall of Rome.

In the prehistoric days when the people we now call Indians (a misnomer attributed to Columbus), migrated from Siberia, across the Bering bridge, into Alaska -- and then migrated down into all of North and South America -- there were homosexuals and bisexuals.  Although all Native America nations, with their varying languages, had different words for the homosexual; a common name and one used by anthropologist is the word "berdache"  which basically meant "two spirits."

The Native Americans, even from the first to cross the Bering bridge in prehistoric days -- did not understand the homosexuals -- and in their superstitions and pantheistic religions attributed this two spirit person to have special spiritual abilities.  So, the homosexual often became medicine men/women, or some other set apart function.  All of this was basically because they knew these people were different -- and, in their simple, superstitious religions -- gave them special treatment.

In our more advanced culture today -- we know it is not a "two spirit" thing -- but, a psychological disorder brought on by family environments and societal pressures.

You tell us of the article, "Interesting that one says his family made him that way..."

And, that agrees with what I just wrote.

We are not to hate the homosexual, we are not to ostracize the homosexual -- but, we are not to do as the early Indian tribes did in their pantheistic superstitions and religions -- and make special laws just for homosexuals

That is discrimination against the heterosexuals of our nation who still live a normal lifestyle -- to set aside those who have chosen an aberrant lifestyle and make special laws just for them.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

I find it fascinating how different cultures have different attitudes toward homosexuality. Of course most of the hostility is rooted in Biblical beliefs, coming from a book written by Paul who was probably a closeted homosexual himself. Contrary to some belief, it isn't caused by society or parenting. I know this because I am gay and I know my own feelings and emotions. People who have not experienced that do not have any business analyzing it or preaching about it. They are ignorant, self-serving and hypocritical.

Not special but EQUAL!

I didn't know that much about sex either. I remember the first few days of

school in the first grade, we were in a line for some reason and the girl in

front of me had long hair, and she accidentally flipped her hair in my face.

My right knee almost gave way with me and my little peeper, something I

wasn't really aware of until then, caught my attention. I'm thinking we are

born the way we are because those scuzzy little didn't smell so bad after all.

______

If Paul was a closeted homosexual, then God would have had to of known it & that's why he chose him to write about it? If he really was, do you think he was an active homosexual? (just curious of your opinion)

I hope I never catch myself analyzing or preaching about it. I don't understand same sex attraction because I find men so incredibly sexy (not all, but most), we just seem to fit with a male.

I'm not saying I'm any better than you because I'm not, I just see/feel things differently when it comes to sex. And that should be ok.

We both know that Bill is going to come in here slamming you & preaching his hate when he himself has the same desires you do. Only difference is you don't hide yours, but he does, except for that one time he announced his desires to the forum. Just ignore him, the man is insane.

Well, you cooty carrying little boys smelled bad! Kinda like wet dogs. Thank goodness that all changed, well for the most part anyway.

I realize that, David. My question was purely about these "special people" in Mexico. Each family has a Muxes. Each family? No family left behind? Also, one man said his mother turned him into a Muxes. I'm sure that's debatable.

Also, I certainly believe many transvestites are NOT homosexual--see Bruce Jenner for instance. I'm wondering if some of these Muxes fall into that category?

No we don't.  More Liars for Jesus crap.

Exactly what psychological, familial, or environmental pressures made you bisexual, Bill?

________

What makes you think he's bisexual? Both marriages could have been/could be a front to side his homosexuality. He's a known liar on this forum so why couldn't he lie with a marriage certificate?

He may be just homosexual.  I'm giving his "marriages" the benefit of the doubt.  But, yes, they may just be covers.  Honestly, I don't care.

I'm pretty sure Eddie Izzard is gay.

Never met a "Muxe"...At least I don't think so.

I don't think they were very prevalent back in "my day".

'70's...ish. Mid...late '70's! "Nailed" quiet a few,,,never saw anything out of the way.

Wasn't much around back then penicillin wouldn't take care of...even if it wore a dress.

Then, again...I spent alot of time in Nashville...

ps...no DARE, or MADD back then.

Said too much? Didn't I ?

Hi Jennifer Best,

Looking at the photo you posted above jogged my memory.  In the mid-1980s, there was a Designer's Fashion Show at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, and a year before, one of the designers had designed gowns for our daughter when she was a contestant in the Miss Asia USA Pagaent.  He asked her to be one of his models for the Designer's Fashion Show.

On the Sunday prior to the actual show, we went to the hotel for a rehearsal.  Each designer had six models.  Dory and I watched as each set of models came onstage.  One designer had six tall, very attractive and elegant black models -- but, when they came on the stage I told Dory, "Those are not women; those are female impersonators."   She was shocked but I told her, "Just wait.  You will see."

A little later, Lana came out from backstage.  She had a shocked look on her face, telling us, "Do you know what?  Those models are men!"   I told her, "I know."

Some times I am surprised at how naive my wife and daughter were; but, they had led a pretty sheltered life.  Once when Dory went with me to an oil convention in Houston, the news anchor on the local station reported that there were so many hookers in town for the convention -- that the police were just looking the other way, too many to control.

The next morning, Dory and I were taking a taxi to the convention center.  While we were waiting for the taxi ahead of us to go, a man put a "lady" into the taxi in front of us.  I told Dory, "He's sending his hooker home."   And, she innocently asked, "How do you know?"

The taxi driver looked back and asked Dory, "Are you kidding, lady?"    Yep, my lovely wife was, and still is often, that naive.

Jennifer, thanks for the memory!

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill Thank You Puppy
