How about YOU give us absolute proof that God does not exist. So far, all we have from you is your word, your opinion, which we have for a long time known is flawed because of your worship of your secular gods.

Since you cannot prove that God does not exist -- then, by your own logic -- He does exist.

Better watch out! He's watching you!

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Bill, I worship a 100 foot tall magenta colored dragon that can fly over 300 miles per hour. He has a long tail and big teeth. If you commit a "sin" he will whip you with his tail for eternity. The only way to keep from being whipped infinitely is to bow to his baby son dragon that was slay by people who didn't believe in dragons.

Bill,
How about YOU give us absolute proof that Dragons do not exist.

Can you see the idiocracy? No, I'm sure you can't.

Hi Fine,

That is okay. Just keep taking your medications and soon it will disappear. But, in the future, please don't get off you medications. Hasn't your doctor warned you about that?

We will keep praying for your full recovery.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Nice non-answer
The fact is, you CAN'T prove a negative.
It is up to me to prove to you that my dragon is real.
Just like it is up to you to PROVE your god is real - especially since your kind shoves that fairy tale crap down America's throat.

Hi Fine,

No, you are wrong. I don't have to prove my God is real. I know it, I believe it. And, my only task is to tell you about Him and that He is real. If you want to deny Him and run with the world -- that is your eternal problem. I have done the task given me by Jesus -- I sowed the seed. If your head is part of the "hard ground" -- then, you have a problem; not me.

My eternal home is already built. And, one day, I will move in and live there eternally, in eternal bliss.

You may choose to live elsewhere if you like.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

[quote] I'm with you Fineazell. I think it's morbid, too but I imagine there are those who would say it reminds them of Jesus' sacrifice.
I, on the other hand, imagine Jesus smiling.[quote]

you are right OC. i had stated that very thing on page 2:
"the cross reminds me of what Jesus did for me, and His death there reminds me of where i'd be without Him."[MY QUOTE]

and i like to imagine Jesus smiling too. and He also has a sad face and is brokenhearted when He sees His creation following ways that are contrary to His calling. and i know He is angry when man is unjust with His children. but there is coming a day when Jesus will forever wear a smile, because His children will be with Him eternally in Heaven. and everyone who loves Him will be there.
because if you love Him, you will keep His commandments. John 14:15

Hi Deep,

If a true seeker asked a question like that; I would be delighted to respond. But, with you, and knowing your motive -- it would be like spitting into the wind. No advantage in that.

But, nice try. Keep up the good work.

Bill,

Don't try to put my writing "in other words". My words speak for themselves, on their own.

Let me repeat it slowly, in small words so you can understand.

I do not have to prove there is no god. If you claim there is one you have to prove it.

there. One syllable words. Short sentences. If you don't get it now, you are the imbecile we all figure you are.

Bill, there you go again. On the one hand you say that you are glad to have GF and DF so that you can work your ministry, then you won't answer their questions. Really, Bill, how is anyone supposed to take you seriously?

Have a blissed day.

HOGWASH! Love ya, DF, but had to respond when I saw that one. That is SO not true. Someone does not owe you or anyone else proof regarding their personal beliefs. As long as they have committed no crimes in the name of their beliefs, it's nunya. Smiler

People are who they are, like it or not, agree with them or not, and no amount of criticism of their spiritual and/or moral beliefs is going to change that. JMHO

Hi Crusty,

Yes, if Deep or Fish, or even you, asked an intelligent question or made an intelligent comment which could be used to share the Gospel; I am on top of it.

If they are just spreading atheistic manure; I let them play in it.

But, thanks for your encouragement. I am pleased that you are holding me accountable. I am truly fortunate to have friends like you.

Well, well, Joy and Bill.

We're making progress here. You both admit that yours are simple beliefs in the absence of evidence. Great start!

If follows that if we accept concepts on that basis that competing irrational concepts are equally (in)valid. The god of the muslims is as valid as the god of the Baptists, and either they are both wrong, or neither concept deserves intellectual respect.

Joy, why do you believe? You admit there is evidence for it. Is it because you were brought up in the culture of the Most Serene Christian Republic of Alabamastan and have not examined the foundations of that belief?

When two religions say two mutually exclusive things about a topic, say, the proper prophet, at most only one of them can be right. It's like if we spy a piece of fruit on a table, and you say it's a banana and I say it's a pomegranate, at most only one of can be right. If it's an orange, or we only think we saw a fruit, then we're both wrong.

Will you admit here that at most, only one religion can be correct? Further, that it might not be yours?

I have examined the religion in which I was raised, and found it, and all others, lacking in reality, a concept quite important to me. I cannot invest my sense of reality in fairy tales. It corrupts the mind, which is that which makes us human.

Since no one has ever observed the process at work and cannot even prove this process is an on-going endeavor, you, DF, are only stating your opinion..your faith, so to speak..
just like your brain, DF...we have never seen it, heard it, felt it, so it must not be there.
We have to accept, by faith, that it exists..otherwise we could spend all day discrediting it.

Do me a favor, don't respond to any more of my posts, ok? DF

My, my, Deep,

Getting a wee bit testy, aren't we? Or are you now an elitist -- only the privileged few can respond to your posts?

From your response to Monet; it appears that you have switched from your Atheist Cutesy Comment Manual and are now using Fish's copy of the Atheist Insult Them Manual. Are those the only two bibles that atheist have -- or are these the only one you choose to use?

Lighten up and enjoy life. As you are now, when you leave this life -- you will not be enjoying life too much in your new home.

Of course, you still have time to switch teams and join us. Where we are going after this life is eternally better than where you are currently headed.

Love to have you on our team.

Mr. Bill,

I'll never be on your "team" that values ignorance and superstition.

Monet/pmtwhite/EZduzzit is just displaying her ignorance when she asks for proof of evolution, as if it is not ubiquitous.

As you know, the theory of evolution is the result of data and evidence. Unlike creationism, it is not a theory into which data and evidence are shoehorned like a square peg into a round hole. Evolution is the result of observations of natural phenomena from several fields of intellectual endeavor, such as paleontology, microbiology, genetics, comparative anatomy, physiology, geology, and biochemistry.

Ignorance is easy to embrace. Reality takes a bit more effort.

Why don't you explain some of that to us ignorant folks, DF. Have you googled enough yet that you can explain a 'thought' to me...how does that work? Why different people have different thoughts..? give me the scientific data on that? Have scientists found that missing link yet??

Hi Deep,

You dance very well. You declare that evolution is ubiquitous -- widespread, universal -- yet, every time we ask you to prove it; we get another atheist song and dance.

Why not just be honest and say, "You believe in God because you have faith in Jesus Christ -- and I believe in Darwinian Evolution because I have faith in my god, Darwin/Dawkins/Hitchens."

Now, that would be honest. But, I guess your bibles do not teach honesty and morality. Instead they teach relativism -- everything is relative. Gee, I am sorry about that.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

OH! I am so smacking you! THWACK! Lucky for you, all I had was a rolled up newspaper. Smiler

I've told y'all numerous times when asked why I believe and how it couldn't possibly be associated with my less than stellar childhood, that fake chandelier totin' bunch I went to church with or my icky pastor that had an affair with an underage girl. Those are the very circumstances that make me question everything.

I've told you about how God took me from suicidal depression to whole, something no person on this planet had the power to do. Oh, He's real alright. Of that I am 100% sure, the ONLY thing I'm 100% sure of in this life.

The word "religion" is associated with what I have with God, but it fails miserably to capture the core. I have an interactive love relationship with God my Father, Jesus my Savior and the Spirit my everything residing within me. I do not need anyone to believe me to know this is true.

Other religions mean nothing to me. Other religions never healed me or revealed truth to me. God has and that is ALL I need to know.
Bill,

For over a year I have given you evidence of evolution. For that same time, you have ignored it and reverted to your superstition. Why should I continue this futile effort?

I have reminded you that we, as well as most land-living creatures, share certain traits, such as two eyes. This is evidence for common ancestors. Do you listen? Never. You are incapable of reason, poisoned as you by your bad religion.

You are not ignorant of these things, yet you choose to deny them, such is your dishonesty. You know.... you KNOW, Bill... that the world is not 6000 years old. Yet you choose to espouse that it is. This is dishonesty on a massive, profound scale, and is unforgivable.

What else is unforgivable is that you choose to take advantage of the ignorant and promote your lies. I have no respect for lies, and none for you.

Go to Youtube and search for "thunderfoot why people laugh at creationists" for a visual treat. Do it and get back to me.

My dear Joy,

Every Muslim says the same thing about Allah. But he tells them that killing infidels who distract the Believers is justified.

Are they right?

Allah is your god. He is the god of Abraham.

Once again, I pose the question: God and Allah, the same being, have different agendas for muslims and you. Can they both be right? Can you give me one reason, independent of supernatural revelation, why one god should trump the other?

Or is it reasonable to say that they cannot both be true? And if not, in the absence of evidence, why is one more true than the other?

We know the Muslims are steeped in a poisonous religion. How is yours different?

He most certainly is not the monster they call God. They distorted the characteristics of God, added & took away from who He truly is, to justify their crimes. Again, I don't need you to believe that for me to know it is true. The God who healed me expects me to love Him and love others, not throw on a bomb and run into a pack of innocent people.

Exactly.

BTW, your name is very close to another member, but you are obviously a different person, which clears up some confusion for me. Smiler
One more thing...when I don't love God and love others or do something contrary to the Word of God, I feel "conviction", a very REAL compression on my heart until I get it right. I have NEVER felt conviction if I did not do the heartless acts that terrorists have committed. Those are clearly not driven by God, but are driven by evil.
AHH! Just searched your recent posts, Monette, and saw a mix-up about your name. That comment was in no way associated with any current drama. I didn't know anybody was at odds with anyone else.
