I believe in America they have to be convicted first before a label can be placed on them... All I know for now is they were ARRESTED AND CHARGED with a crime....
Their trials have not come up yet that I am aware of such an official conviction is not yet assure.
Each case will have its own merit...
With that said, I am glad the Florence Park and Rec decided to take action on such activities in the public parks...I hope TVA decides to do the same...

Thank you! This was my first thought when I heard about this bust. I have been putting up with this crap since adolescence, but now that a few straight men have gotten catcalled, it's a social problem warranting a police task force? Maybe I'll start taking pictures of the men who proposition me, make lewd comments about my body, or grunt when I walk by and posting them on the internet for everyone to comment on. Those of you who are so freaked out by the gays looking for some lovin' should be more concerned about who your husbands are harassing (because I assure you, the majority of this crap I hear comes from men wearing wedding bands) or who is harassing your wives and daughters. I agree that butt secks in the park is not appropriate, but I am having trouble feeling sympathy for straight men who are getting ogled by gay men, because I put up with that crap every. day.

Just because we as women have dealt with this chit all our lives dont make it right . I dont blame the straight men for fussing about it . If a woman comes on to you ,shows you her breast , ask you for oral sex ,at the park ,then would you fuss ? Would it be different to you then book reader ?
There are plenty of web sites for the gay to look for lovin .

I beg to differ with you. I spoke with a friend of mine who puts his boat in at McFarland marinia sometimes.
Approaching with comments is FAR from what has been going on. Like my friend told me, sitting out in that boat one can see MANY things that go on in that park and simple conversation ain't the top activitiy either. He and his fishing buddies have reported what they have seen going on numerous times.
So its a far cry from being a woman, walking thru somewhere and have to hear some dumbA. man make an obscene comment versus possibly having your kids in the park risking walking up on some of those "activities"! Also how many times have we had women raped in our local parks? I am sick to death of wide range statistics and numbers. People have got to get their minds on THEIR area, cleaning up their own parks, walking trails,THEN we can worry about what is happening in the next state. I honestly think if people WOULD BEGIN to worry about their own home towns,we would begin to see declines on the "bigger picture",covering those huge numbers we get to see when checking stats.

Saughtered, by someone you thought was a nice guy. One guy in the mugshots I would have never guessed. Maybe he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Man, I wouldn't be caught dead around them parks. I wouldn't want nobody to think I was one of them!

I think all women who are approached inapproiately by men should call the cops too. For years all we do is say this simple word: "NO". The fact is that this is NOTHING compared to what women must endure.

As of 2002, of the 1,561 forcible rapes reported to law enforcement, only 43 percent were cleared by arrest. There were 4.3 rapes reported every day in Alabama.
The average age of a victim in this state is 21.9 years. The majority of rape victims (55 percent) were white, 41 percent were African American, and 4 percent were of unknown or other races.
On a national level, one in six women reported an attempted or completed rape at some point in their life. As of 2001, there were 84,000 reported rapes, 63,000 reported attempted rapes, and 102,000 reported sexual assaults.
This means that in 2001, there were 248,000 rape/sexual assault victims....
The vast majority are not same sex assaults. Most of these crimes are committed by straight men on women. You guys who are so offended by some middle aged or elderly married man making a pass at you need to put things in perspective.

Several years ago there was a flasher operating at interstate highway rest stops. The Highway Patrol operated a sting, using a couple of female troopers in plain clothes to nail these perverts. One of the ladies, interviewed in the newspaper, said that the perpetrator signalled her to come over to his car and when she did, he exposed himself, asking, "Hey, ya know what THIS is?" Her reply was perfect. She said, "Well, it looks like a penis, only smaller."
