Has anyone else noticed how the tap water in Florence not only smells like pond water but also tastes bad too? I thought it was something with the pipes, but I have gotten drinks (sweet tea) from several restaraunts that also taste like dirt. I have only noticed it over the past several days. Is it all the rain we have had?

Thank you for asking this question! I thought it was just me. I have noticed the exact same thing.
I live near Shoals Creek. The restaraunts where I have had the bad drinks has been along Florence Blvd and near the mall. It is so bad that I noticed the smell over my laundry detergent when removing clothing from the washing machine! It literally smells like the river!
Happens every year in hot weather when the river turns over.
I buy Culligan water from WalMart in my 3 gal bottles and put them in a cooler.

bhk, gotta disagree with you. Memphis has the best water of any city anywhere that I have found.
The only thing I miss about Memphis.
