Rhino Poacher was killed by an elephant then eaten by a pride of Lions.  Poaching is illegal as it is and the accomplices of the person killed faired quite a bit better than he did but their punishment will last a while longer and be carried out in court.  As for the poacher, his punishment was a life sentence which most likely ended his life quickly but some would say he got what he deserved.  Either way, I thought it was a fitting end for someone who lived by the sword, so to say, to end up succumbing to an animal that often is poached themselves even though the poacher was after another animal at that time.

Indeed, I believe most animals have far more sense and intuition than we give them credit for.  I fully believe that pets (dogs, cats, etc ...) know when they meet a person if that person is a pet person or not.  I've seen animals react to meeting various people in different ways before.  I don't want to make completely general applications to all animals but I do believe Elephants are extremely smart and intelligent and I very much believe that the elephant that killed the poacher most likely knew what kind of person he was or at least sensed it in some way.

That may or may not have been the case but I do believe various animals do have a sense as to if humans want to harm them or are not going to be a threat to them.  I know my dogs and cat react vastly different to some of my relatives when they visit and even though they don't see the person much, if at all, they react differently when the person is not a pet-friendly person verses my relatives and friends who I know are pet/animal, friendly people
