Does anyone know of anywhere in or near the Shoals area to ride 4-wheeler ATV's? I already know about Hawk Pride Mountain Offroad but they are usually only open every other weekend. I'm retired military and looking for a place to occasionally ride my 4-wheeler on weekdays or weekends. Is there any public land, wildlife management areas, private land (with permission), or other commercially dedicated ATV riding areas (other than Hawk Pride) that anyone knows about? Yesterday I saw a small homemade roadside sign to what looked like a commercially operated ATV riding area somewhere on HWY 72 West near Iuka or Corinth. I was on my way to Memphis for an appointment and did not have time to stop and investigate the place on my way there. The name of the place was something with "Bog" in it. Does anyone know of this place and could you tell me something about it and exactly where it is? I did not know exactly where to post this in the forum and I hope this is the right area. Thank you for any information that you can give me.

There is Barnyard Mud Boggers near Fulton,Ms. 662-213-3067

There is Flint Creek Multi-Use Trail.....Directions: From Alabama Highway 157 turn south on Danville Rd (CR 41), 4 miles from Highway 157 there is a left bend in the road with a dirt road going west (Forest Service road 249, also known as Leola Road), turn onto 249. At 3.7 miles you will pass Center church, the parking area is 0.8 miles past the church on the the North side of the dirt road. Don't worry about the fact a sign near Danville Road says Flint Creek Multiuse trail is about 4 miles ahead, then about 4 miles later another sign just like it doesn't mention the trail. You didn't pass it, its another 100 yards ahead. (Genius At Work.) 205-489-5111

There is Wheelin' in the Country......Take 64E to Lawrenceburg, TN. At the 43 & 64 intersection, turn left. Go through Lawrenceburg heading north on Highway 43. From the Wal-Mart go 7 mi. North and look for the sign on your right. Turn right on Alexander Springs Rd. Take the road on your right. That road will fork, go left. We are located on the 3rd road on your right - Anderson Creek Rd. Continue about 2 mi. and look for the large green and tan building on your left.

If you need further directions, please call:
128 Anderson Creek Rd.

There is over 5000 acres in West Point, TN which is leased by North Alabama Trail Riders Association or NATRA. Ther membership is very low, I think it is like $50 for your entire household per year. You can ride 365 days a year unless they are hosting a major race. It is land that was used by a paper mill for logging. It offers all kinds of riding for all skill levels. There riding rules are pretty liberal but they do ask that all riders do there part to ensure safety and to keep the area clean and free of litter. Here is more info: LINK

What about Bankhead National Forest? We used to ride some their wilderness trails many years ago. Hopefully that is still legal..beautiful area.

The trails are still open in Bankhead. They do charge you I think to ride up there though. I think its like 5 bucks that you put into the envelope & tear off a number thats attached to it so if you get stopped they know you paid to be on the trails.

This is the Flint Creek Multi-Use Trail it is in Bankhead National Forrest.Grumpy doesn't care for this one,he says it is to easy.
The wife and I may need some easy trails to start off with our 4-wheelers on. I spent a lot of time on them back in the late 80's and early 90's and the wife's never been on anything but a 3-wheeler so that kind of tells you how much recent experience that we have. I did check out the one in Westpoint TN online and after checking it out online, we joined it. We took the 4-wheelers up there the other day, unloaded them, and then rode the main roads mostly because we were basically lost as far as where the trails were. Also everything is posted up there with no trespassing signs and we did not know where club property started and ended so we did not do much exploring. We were up there on a week day and decided that the next time we went up, we'd go on a weekend and hope that there were more members there who could show us around. The colored map that we got with our membership package does not help out a lot with showing where the trails are and like I said, we were basically lost as to where we could ride and where we could not. I still want to find more places to explore........ thank you all who have posted to help us out with places to go.

As a landowner I Thank you for not riding on other peoples property. I am really tired of the damage people do to our farm fields.
