Wal-Mart on Cloverdale Rd will have a new Zaxby's restaurant out front, so says the banner. Really was hoping for a Steak & Shake. Hope they do well.

Just to let you know, and I have posted this before under another topic (I believe) but I've heard that "Steak & Shake" rumor for this area for a while now even from my son in law but have always been ultra skeptical myself especially when he also said, in the same sentence that Cheddar's is also coming to the North Florence area.
So last time I was in Decatur, at the Steak & Shake, eating I actually ask the manager, on duty, does he think that there will ever be a Steak & Shake over in the Shoals area. To my great surprise he didn't dismiss it outright but actually acted as if he had heard something from his folks that there might well be one in the distant future. I always thought this area would be totally ruled out given that they usually develop along major interstates and much larger cities. But then the Cracker Barrel here was one of the first for an area like this and I'd never have believed that Cracker Barrel would have come hear either so never know.
As for Zaxby's I knew, long ago that the manager, of the Cox Creek store, said Zaxby's had purchased land by the new WalMart and would be building there before long. Guess now is before long. I too hope they do well.

Good! I am glad to hear about this new "food restaurant." But do tell us why it is necessary to qualify the place as a "food restaurant." Is there any other kind of restaurant?
Do you go to a "tooth dentist"? Do you know any "widow women"?
Just havin' a little fun witcha!
I have been to a couple of restaurants that if called food restaurants would be false advertising.
There's enough chicken to go around, a stake 'n shake is a great
option to the frequent fast food flyers.

And if a vampire should show up there a "stake" would be available to drive through his heart.

You and your "hate crimes."
Tell us beternnun, which is it, "ad" or "add"? That's just ONE mistake you've made lately. We can barely keep up with your mistakes. You really shouldn't get so involved with scouring others' posts looking for mistakes to point out, or gotchas as you call them when yours are pointed out to you, that you keep making so many yourself. Not to mention your confusion about who posted what. One time you had a whole "argument" with me on a thread I hadn't even posted on, and you've confused other posters since then. I guess you can't tell the difference between a picture of a fairy and a picture of a man in a hat!! Just lately you confused two completely different looking men, thinking they were the same guy! Granted you did think one picture was just an "unflattering" picture of the guy. LOL! Do you have any windows left at all in your glass house?
You claim that I make numerous errors, yet you have to dig pretty deep to find any, that trivial "ad" vs. "add" thing being your current favorite. If you are hard pressed to keep up with the very few mistakes I make, then your keeper-upper is in bad repair.
The term widow women used to be quite common in the south.

Agreed, but common or not, it is a redundancy.
And I still hear folks referring to a "hot water heater."
It may be redundant but it's happened before.

How you stretch and strain. The comments I made had nothing at all to do with spelling.
The word Steak was misspelled, do you sea it now..??
Wow. Talk about going off topic. LOL

Yes, the hypocrite beternnun can't help himself, he has to point out other's mistakes even though he makes plenty himself, and get his undies in a terrible bunch when he's called on it. I can't help but react to his hypocrisy and have to call him on it. That's how it happens.

He's such a crybaby.
No truth, at least to this point about Cheddars or Steak & Shake coming to the area. I would love to see a S&S, not really into Cheddars.
Again, as I just posted to the K-Mart/Academy topic, I would think that if Steak and Shake was coming to the area they would just a more trafficked location to put it, same goes for Cheddars. I think the Cloverdale road area is OK for fast food/drive through restaurants, but I just don't think it is OK(at least not currently) for sit down restaurants.
The Times Daily did an article on K-Mart closing in Florence, so I thought I would post a link to it: http://www.timesdaily.com/news...2b-e8222cd1871e.html According to the article the Muscle Shoals K-Mart will remain open.
I guess I should have posted that in the K-Mart topic. I got confused, my bad. Let me do that also.
We need a new topic on redundancy in grammar. Also one for tautology. Except that tautology is a form of redundancy, but not vice versa. Now I have a headache.
