Opening around Labor Day (estimate provided by Killen LawLer's BBQ employee, LawLer's will be opening a new location in Muscle Shoals, Alabama located close to where the old Bruster's Ice Cream ( last Witt's BBQ ) store was. It's located across on the same side of the street as Region's Bank only a bit farther east. The nice thing about the Muscle Shoals location is that different from the Killen location you will be able to dine-in at the restaurant. At Killen's location, you can only carry out or drive through and pick up your order.
LawLer's has a very good product and is one of the better Barbeque restaurants in the area. I especially enjoy their St. Louis Style ribs that come with dry rub on them with a side of the rib sauce. Their BBQ pork Sandwiches are also very good as are the all their sides. Until the Muscle Shoals location opens up the closest dine-in restaurant, for LawLer's is either the Decatur, Belt Line Rd location or the Athen's Alabama location which is just East of the I-65 exit, in Athens, along Hwy 72 and on the South Side of the road.
One amusing (at least to me) thing regarding LawLer's is the review that they are putting up about how enthused a North Koren escapee is when tasting their BBQ. I'm thinking as little as the North Korean public is allowed to eat and considering what it is most likely like then most any American food is going to not only taste great but bring about a smile on the face of whoever (from North Korea) is tasting it. Heck someone from North Korea would most likely find Hospital food as being a delicacy and preferable to what they have been eating.
