Homeside Restaurant that has been in the Underwood/Petersville area, on Cloverdale Rd, is expanding and deciding to open another Florence location or so goes the rumor. Rumor is that Homeside will open a Meat & 3 family type restaurant in the old Singleton's BBQ restaurant building that's located on Old Huntsville Rd just East of the Cox Creek Blvd intersection. Might be a while for them to get open but it will give Cracker Barrel and Garden Gate some competition for the Meat & 3 lunch and dinner crowd.

GBRK, in addition to Coach's in Hatton for a near Oh, Bryan's experience, put down Steak & Biscuit in Moulton about 15 minutes down 157 for your meat & 3. Call in advance for your choice of 3 meats as they serve different choices each day as well as veggies.
Coach's looks great and I'm sure gets a bit of the business that the original Oh Bryans used to get, the one that was destroyed by the tornado, down near Russellville. I was looking at the menu and wonder if they offer a larger ribeye than 10oz? They are on my list of place to visit and try and it's not that far from the Shoals to give it a try one day. I've also heard of the Steak & Biscuit but never tried it.
Do you know if they are still a smoking environment? Often I take my grandkids and one of them is intensely allergic to smoking, makes them terribly sick, so I try and avoid taking them to places like Cajun's where smoking is prevalent so if you know if they are still a smoking environment let me know.
S&B has a large "no smoking" area but I imagine for someone with an allergy would be like swimming in the "no peeing" end of the pool. You have to pass through the smoking area to get to it.
Jack Flash posted:I remember when over here, smoking was separated with aroll of 4x8 sheets of lattice, or they just smoked anyway. Now there isn't smoking but I still axed for no smoking anywayjust to see those eyes roll. And some will plain it all again and it'smy turn to roll my eyes, but I never pizz the waitress off.
Yankee asked for no smoking in a southern BBQ joint. They sent him to MickeyDs.
