Big Grin i know i am surprised every time at a "new person" that i have known for years! hahahahah. a prime example is "hound dog blues". i met him at the last meet and greet and i have known him for over 10 years. hahahahahaha!

as a matter of fact, yes, i do laugh quite a bit.
i am really a happy person. life is wonderful. everyone should open their eyes to the wonders around them. the big ball keeps spinning if you are sad or happy. enjoy the ride and be positive and happy.

laughter is the best medicine.

if you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at.
ok, since my list of our generous sponsors got deleted (thank you, sour grapes person), please know that some kind local businesses are helping out with our m&g and we will have signs at the m&g letting you know who you can thank.

please come, bring your family, and get to know your fellow posters. we have lots of good folks show up, and it's always lots of fun.

see you there! Smiler
I'll come in the car, then. LOL My best memory of Veterans is when Mr. Cat and I were returning from dinner at George's. We'd just crossed Wilson and heard a song by Thomas Anderson on the radio. Mr. Cat pulled over in Veteran's and told me to get out of the car. He cranked up the music and got out and we danced right there in the park. Awwwww. Aside from our wedding day, that was one the single most romantic moments of my life.

Here's the song~

very cool, bc.

when y'all come in veteran's park, you basically go straight, as far as you can go, to shelter #3 on the right.

come in the main entrance, go straight past the memorial with the helicopter, bombs, etc. continue on straight past the jungle gym on the left and down a slight hill. at the bathroom building, stay right and come down to the parking lot. our pavilion is the one on the right (there are two down by that parking lot).

we are as close as you can get to the water at veteran's park. there is a very pretty point with picnic tables down near the water, with a good view of the dam and the upper end of the lock, for those who wish to venture down that way. there is a sign that says 'swim at your own risk', but i think getting up and down that bank would take the fun out of it for me!

i hope to see y'all there.
