New way to post a reply without a popup

this is very cool...i can live with it

I like that new feature also, but I wish the it would go straight back to thread once your reply posts without having to click continue.

Okay, I had a little more patients after posting the first part of this and it actually does go back to the thread, just not fast enough for me. LOL

I guess it is still in transition. I can't post a reply, pop up or otherwise, on some of the threads.

Don't thank the ownership, thank the Eve software they use. Changed on all Eve forums. Mods had nothing to do with it.

With the old set-up, you could highlight a bit of text that you are responding to, click, "reply" then the highlighted text would automatically appears in the "

proper way for quotes to appear

making for easy clarity.

Also, now we have only little, small box to type in rather than a large box in a separate window making editing quite difficult. I have to manually enter the [ quote ] and [ / quote] which is quite irritating.

The "reply with a window" is great for those that want to type a sentence or two and not bother referencing who they are replying to. For more lengthy responses, it just doesn't work.

Also, I recently worked on a detailed response, clicked submit and the site was temporarily down. In the old way, I could click "back" and was able to copy what I'd typed so I could re-use it. This new way won't allow you to go back so I lost 15 minutes of composition.

Please revert back to the old way.

Agreed. I have lost 2 or 3 posts that way. I also cannot minimize the reply window to double check something.

This has been erratic. At times I still see the quick reply emblem; at others I don't.

I assume they're still tweaking it.
