Editor Mitchell announced on Sunday that Tuesday's TD would be two inches narrorer, adding that formatting would make the changes less noticible. He was right--I didn't notice the changes until I came to the comic page.

I immediately noticed the comics were dramatically compressed. The combination of space reduction and addition of two comics does nothing to enhance the reading of the daily funnies. I'm sure there are some who read the daily horoscope, but I vote to drop that feature to return the comics to their previous proportions.

Just another fine example of getting less "news/entertainment"etc with no price reduction...We pay out the nose for a paper. They have already cut the ad papers, made the ads bigger and stories smaller and now they decrease the size by 2 inches -- no, we might not notice, but that doesn't make it right...just like the fast food restaurants have cut portion sizes and kept the same or increased the prices over the years...whatever happened to "more bang for your buck?"
I just paid my subscription bill yesterday (I pay about every 8 10 12 weeks) and noticed this one said "incluses taxes." So I asked at the TD when they started taxing newspapers and the lady said they did not tax. I asked if the rates for the paper went up because the amount on my bill was more than last time, and she said yes. So folks, we got less paper for MORE money!
I'd be interested to know what other people think about all the TD columnists who write about their personal lives instead of real news. THAT, I don't want to pay for!
