CoasttoCoastAM is my favorite ...
I used to work WVNA overnights, loved it. Lots of interesting people up that late calling up the radio station.
I had the whole building to myself and the station manager was usually asleep, so I would sneak in a few songs that I liked here and there. I'm sure someone probably recognized the Fiddleworms playing at 2 a.m. Not to mention songs like Martian Boogie and the full version of In Da Gadda Da Vida.

I like the Funkadelic Friday Show on QLT. She does a good job with that.
I'm partial to Kathy Raye and Sunday Nite Classics on KIX96.

I catch Coast to Coast when I'm driving at night. It's the only AM show you can pick up just about anywhere. When you move out of one station's signal, you can pick it up again on another station and not miss much.
It's pretty entertaining. It's like watching a hippy on LSD dance with glow sticks at a Phish show, completely bizarre but entertaining.

If you're talking about after 12midnite, I am usually asleep. But if I am up late that nite, I listen to JD Royal on Kix. He always sounds like he is having a good time.

I use to like Coast to Coast when they delt with the unexplained. You know Bigfoot,aliens,ghosts,the chubrcabra and why the Kardasian girls are celebrities. But now they deal with conspiracy theories more and more and it just gets boring.
Eons ago, I temped a overnight shift a VNA. The story of the little girl and her ghost, the scratched named in the window above the FM room puzzled myself and the AM guy. I loved the quietness of that place, although i can't forget hearing footsteps above in the second story when supposedly - there was no one else in the building

If I am in Florence I like WVNA, but when I can pick it up I love 95.1 out of H'ville! Best rock station around!
Listen with headphones , and stereo effects are great, if it rocks.

Every now and then 107 will play a good song. Sadly I have turned it on heard something that sound like rap crap. Instant reason to reject.

don't forget that lot of places allow radios to be played during business hours, BUT they are required to play qlt because they know there is no chance of anything offensive or edgey being played.

i like the funk thing on friday nights. the rest of the time it's only marginally better than muzak.

i like 60's and 70's rock, but somehow WQLT manages to find the songs from that era that sucked and play them non stop.
they're MOTR on a long dreary boring strech of road that doesn't go anywhere.
