I don’t know much about the “New Age”

New Age is any belief that doesn't follow a fundamentalist point of view, or at least that is how it has been defined on this forum.

As for the 'whys' of the world: no one knows. Some live and some die in the same situation. I certainly don't have an answer. God's will, good luck, good timing, etc.. I don't know.
Mankind's stupidity certainly plays a role in a lot of it. The idiot racing a train, leaving kids in a 105 degree car, running a red light to save three seconds, thrill seekers, etc...
Some people seem to want to die, that I don't get.

Anyway, I probably AM crazy, but I like me that way!

Best wishes and peace to you.

I see your point but the people that believe in God & claim to be a Christian is always talking about the goodness of God, & His love for people. I know we all have to die, sometime, someplace. God evidently has the power to heal, (though we don't see any of that) to kill you or not to kill you. My point was if he has power, & so much love, why does He allow an innocent child to be tortured?
Semi,
If I could answer that I would be God. I can give you the standard "its all in the plan", and you have already heard that.

I don't know. I cannot see into the reason for some things, some don't make sense, some do. I have to believe that there is a purpose for it. Sometimes one death can save a 100. Sometimes a hundred die for one. Maybe we just have to play out the game. I do know that that tortured child will have an eternity of love and joy in Heaven. I know I will see my family members when I pass away. I know that we do have examples of miracles happening everyday, its just we don't pay much attention. I see a miracle in the birth of a baby. Trying to understand the trillions of things that had to develop just right is a miracle to me. Starting from one egg and one sperm, you get a complex multi-system, highly intelligent, scientifically curious biped capable of going to the moon or the depth of the ocean all while watching a sunset or a sunrise.

Well, that's my view anyway. Not the best explanation or the most Biblical, but it's what I think.
