Cathedral Twitter page with great photos.  This was a horrible, and hopeful, accident and I hope not a deliberate terrorist attack.  Given the location of where it seemed to start and what was going on I believe it's very reasonable to assume it was a horrible accident or potentially some rags or chemicals spontaneously erupting.   Either way a horrible loss but it does appear that there are some areas that miraculously escaped the fires rage.  Given the age of the wood in the place it's a miracle that any of it was saved.  Fox News is now saying that arson and terror has been ruled out which, although it doesn't make it much better, does not make it worse.

NY Post Photos

It also appears that many irreplaceable carvings may have been saved from the flames.  Even within the Sanctuary the cross is highly visible and appears that much of the inside at least will be able to be salvaged and potentially used when they rebuild.

More photos, during and after the fire.  In the previous post I stated that Fox News reported that it wasn't terrorism or an attack on Christians but that may be an incorrect statement.  Today I learned that France has been experiencing unprecedented attacks on Christian Churches and places of worship and that there are even sections of Paris that even their police stay out of due to the immigrants that have come in and brought their jihad religion.

It is interesting how fast the media is to condemn anyone that might suggest it could be terrorism or sourced in the Islamic religion but how eager they are to assign blame if say a black church burns in the us or if they can pin the blame on a conservative group or someone who they deem will advance their own agendas.

I believe I've seen the number of desecrated churches in France as more than 875 in 2018. In fact the rest of Europe has had problems from Muslims and the radical left desecrating churches.

I suspect that the French gubermint will more likely claim that the pope had Notre Dame torched for insurance money than blame the religion of peace or peaceful socialists if the unionized construction crew didn't accidentally do it through incompetence.

Best hasn't been around since January 2nd, 2018 I think you are trying to wake her up?  On the serious side I do hope she's doing well and isn't in ill health.  While politically she and I are more on the same page and we have butted heads on the Religious forum I do hope she's doing okay and is in good spirt and health.

Jutu is bestworking... you can't be this slow, dude.

I heard today where a Rolling Stone, liberal writer, is calling the fire an act of liberation and from the same article/writer suggestions that the rebuilding incooperate more a progressive (i.e. liberal) tone in the reconstruction.  In other words de-Christianize it.  There is an all out assault on Christianity and especially White Christians and western civilication Christianity.  I can somewhat sense what those who created the Knights Templar and their mission/cause.  Today however Christianity isn't just being attacked by Muslims and the religion of Islam but by radical atheist and agnostics who want to see Christianity disappear altogether.  I do realize that this isn't universal and does not necessarily apply to all atheist or agnostic but Christianity and Christians are under assault from many varied directions and sources.

It should have been predictable that from the liberal wing of Society would come a desire to re-construct Notre Dame in a more Secular vein and incorporate more secular items even potentially Muslim (Religion of Islam) items.  Time will tell what France decides to do but I doubt that many who pledged such a large amount of money to rebuild it did so with the desire that profound secular changes be incorporated into the new Notre Dame.

Actually I don't go around trying to decipher just who changes their name and who doesn't.  There are many people on here who have similar feelings and beliefs in various areas and if what you say is correct then I'm glad to know she's doing well and is back.  I'm here as I have been all along and have had no reason to assume an alternate identity and although I have suspected that some people on here may be the same as other names from the past I attempt not to judge or understand the reason for the change or other name.  I even miss Bill Gray's input and presence and hope he's doing well these days and he and I have also had words and been on opposite sides of a topic/issue.  So if Jutu is Best then Welcome back

One last comment.  Even if I did change identities I'd give myself away immediately because of how wordy and involved my post are at times.  Some things are difficult to hide/conceal.

Jutu isn't Best. I talk to Best all the time and like me she saw there was no point in trying to have conversations here when Crash and his bunch ruined the forums by ganging up on people constantly and reporting every little thing until they got them banned. I bet it's killing them that they can't goad Jutu into fighting with them so they can do the same to her. When I stop by to see if anything interesting is going on it is usually just Crash name calling and bullying. He's such a bitter old man.
