First it was Bill Heard, then Shoals & Huntsville Suzuki, now it is Cloverleaf-Tony Moore going out of business. WOW, who's next in the automobile business?
I don't think many of them are breaking sales records right now anyway. Of course, go into any of the dealerships and you will be told they are doing fantastic.
Who's next?? Probably any dealership with the name CHRYSLER attached to it. I couldn't help but notice when I logged on to TD there was a Chrysler ad for a "Lifetime guarantee" and I thought that must be something like a Suzuki guarantee...where do you go to get Chrysler warranty service when they are out of business.
Jeep may be a popular brand around here, but Chrysler is the parent company and they have already acknowledged that they are on the brink. Likely, bail out money would not rescue them. Jeep owners will be going to independent repair shops or buying the Chilton's manual and getting to know "Joe" at the auto salvage yard to keep those Chrysler Jeeps running.
NADA (National Automotive Dealer Association) is predicting 1200 new car dealerships will go out of business this year. I hope they all find a way to make it through these tough times but Chrysler seems to be in bad shape.
