Are you saying they don't have their act together?

When it comes to a good presidential candidate I do not believe they have anybody. Of course the best candidate may be drowned out by the likes of Palin, Trump, and Bachmann. If the GOP finds a candidate that can pull the party back together they could present a challenge. But time is passing by fast.

You have a point but does he need to spend a billion if he is so great?

I didn't say he was so great that he can't be beat. He won't need to spend a billion if the GOP doesn't move quickly and positively. However, a billion is excessive no matter how you look at it. I don't know how that is going to play out.

The smarter the voters are, the less the candidates have to spend. Don't blame the candidates for the amount of money they have to spend to get elected. Blame those who are really responsible, the voters.

I think you just called Obama voters stupid, or did you mean ALL voters are stupid?

Not all voters. OBama already has the smart ones. Unfortunately, because of the severe lack of critical thinking and reading skills in the country, in order to win, he has to convince a few of the really stupid ones, as well, and this takes money, and lots of it. I suspect that the Republican long-term plan is to decrease the IQ level of the country to the point that they will no longer have to spend anything in order to get elected. When the ignorant outnumber the educated, the Republicans will have enough votes to win without doing anything. Fortunately, the recent antics of the Tea Baggers have actually caused a slight reversal of this trend.

So he needs a billion dollars to convert the really stupid ones? If he already has the smart ones and they vote for hm again, wouldn't he win anyway? He won before, you don't think he is LOSING supporters do you?

Anyone can have an occasional typing error, but this is just poor grammar. As to your point: because of the media, there are a lot more ignorant people in the country that there were 2 1/2 years ago. The national IQ is declining at a record rate. In a year and a half, it will be even lower. This is the wet dream of the Tea Baggers.
