Is this protocol?
It's dishonorable to the Marines at best. Classic Obama.
adamryan1121--your first link is to a photo that is just too good not to post, so here it is: Is George Herbert Walker Bush ("Bush One") being "dishonorable" to the Marines, as Carl Spackler ASSerts about the very same thing when Obama is under ta Marine-held umbrella. Is it "dishonorable to the Marines at best" for President Obama to receive this benevolent protection from the rain? And if so, must it not be just as dishonorable when G.W.H. Bush's patrician frame is similarly shielded from the elements?
Nice "gotcha" there, adamryan1121!

Idiot's that is not a U.S. Marine!!!!!
The military personnel holding the umbrellas are British officers from the red band on the hats, either Army or Royal Marines.
Bit more research, they are officers of British Army. Contendah's a pretty good grammarian. Fact check the rest.
First picture -- British Army officer
Second page -- civilian
Third page -- WH butler.

Those look like Russian uniforms to me. lol or Chinese. could be.
Obviously, the men aren't Oriental, The Russian dress uniform is khaki. Here is a picture of the Bermuda Regiment -- Bermuda is still UK territory -- the red sash and cuffs are unique to that regiment. The red band around the hat identified the wearer as an officer and has done so for about a century.
rt. wingnuts are hilarious. never mind if any other president has done the same thing, in the past... it's "**** obama" and full speed ahead. the "outrage" and "hypocrisy" is astounding.
Further proof that the Progressive funny bone has atrophied to the status of an appendix. They can only find amusement in the extreme despair and pain of their opponents. But, posting the merest slight against any of their personality cult messiahs of the moment results in Stalinesque responses.
In the late sixties, That Was The Week That Was (TW3) japed and made fun of the happening of the day. Conservatives were their main fare, although the didn't spare the liberals completely. If the same aggressive humor were applied to progressives today, the offenders would immediately be added to the Enemies List that so obviously exists. Then, the full weight of the bureaucracies would move against them..

____
It matters not what the provenance of the officers. There is nothing undignified or insulting about any Marine, Airman, U.S. Army solider, Coast Guardsman, Naval Officer,Cossack, Policeman, security guard or anyone else holding an umbrella for someone. It is a thoughtful courtesy and one that is expected when any notable person is speaking or performing some ceremonial function in the rain, whether Democratic, Republican or otherwise. This cavil from Bush Master is BUSH LEAGUE!
Contenduh, do you think these Marines knew about the repeated requests for help from their brothers-in-arms during the night of 9/11/12?
Do you think they knew that the person they are holding an umbrella for was the person that repeatedly denied their cries for help?
Do you think they knew that those four Americans died in Benghazi that night while Obama went to bed, evidently exhausted from getting ready for a fund raiser in Vegas the next day?
Do you think they know that Obama is the most anti-military president in the country's history and cuts funding every chance he can?
So yes, Obama dishonored those fine men, purposely if I had to bet.
