OBAMA IGNORES GOOD FRIDAY AND EASTER - But never forgets Muslim Holidays.   Let's all REMEMBER to NOT VOTE for  him in 2012!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

FROM AMERICAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION:  -  President Barack Obama found time to prepare an eight paragraph proclamation for  Earth Day on Friday, but found zero time to issue a proclamation for Easter, the highest and holiest day of the year for Christians.

While waxing eloquent about the necessity of preserving our nation's "natural heritage," he had not a word for the millions of  Christians celebrating Easter in America and around the world.

The American Family Association believes this was an intentional act of disrespect.

This is consistent with other egregious examples of disregard for our Christian heritage on the president's part, such as omitting  "Creator" from the Declaration of Independence, which he has done on at least three occasions.

The president has shown far more interest in promoting Islam than his own self-proclaimed Christian faith, the faith of our Founding  Fathers.

The president has been devoted to issuing statements marking all major Muslim holidays, which are of no historical significance to  the United States whatsoever. He has released statements in honor of Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, Hajj and Eid-ul-Adha, holidays which  most Americans cannot pronounce and certainly do not celebrate.

More glaringly, President Obama made no mention of Good Friday or Easter in his weekly address to the nation on Saturday.

Even the secular media noted this inexcusable slighting of the Christian faith. When asked about it, the president's spokesman, Jay  Carney, answered mockingly by saying, "I'm glad you're asking me these important questions, guys."

See video of Mr. Carney's comments here.

TAKE ACTION:   Please let the White House know that these are in fact "important questions" because they go directly to the heart of our   fundamental values as a people and to the issue of whether our president shares those values.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,
Bill

Hi Crusty,

So will Dwight/Skippy!!!   After all, I'm sure he feels that if Romney can be a man/god later, why let him be a president now.  We would go from a president who thinks he is god, to one that Dwight/Skippy think will be a god later.   Personally, I will vote for Sarah Palin.  At least when she is on television I will not have to look away because of "ugly"!

Bill, Get a life. A lot of us don't celebrate Easter. I didn't even think about until I was at the grocery store checking out. There are a lot of us who have given up religion as a help or part of our life. While being out of the south for a number of years , I was amazed, when I came back at how religeous people were or appeared to be. I know that I am getting sick of being asked why I don't go to church. Some of us have a private God who we communicate with and try to do good things for. Give us a break and let Obama run the country and write letters the way he wants to.

Sorry Bill, wrong as usual.

But whats new? Oh, that's right your back. Next time try not to put

your foot in your mouth. I'm glad you swallowed your pride and came back

so I can get my daily chuckle.

For now I'm for Trump.

Good morning, bluetick.   Let the judgment begin.

I have to admit it will be interesting to see what Bill has to say to Windsong about his Baptism rant.

I'll bet both are sharpening their swords and their wit.

Read the rules Jerry, no personal attacks in these forums.

Cool your jets so you don't get flagged.

Yeah! Don't call Skippy a "moran". Let him speak for himself. If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, and says it isn't a duck.................you know the rest.

Hey Bill? After being away for a few days and finding out people missed you, now might be a good time to soften your stance in they eyes of your detractors and admit that on this one, you were misinformed. When you just walk away from a thread, people are less likely to believe anything you post. I'm not even asking you to say you were wrong. I think you probably missed hearing about the Easter Prayer Breakfast. If you just admitted that you missed it, I think that would go a long way toward building respect and friendship.

Bill, I looked at the video you posted. That remark from Mr. Carney could have been about anything, but I believe it was about whether the White House issued a statement about the Obama's attending church on Easter Sunday.

As I was kind enough to look at your video, please look at mine here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbeSrzBUszM And I also would like to ask if you have looked at the earlier link I posted about the Easter Prayer Breakfast.

To allow yourself to be manipulated by this group who posted those links you shared is beneath you, Bill. When there is clear proof that Obama hosted what he called "the second annual Easter Prayer Breakfast",

it is silly not to admit that you were misinformed. So please, read the link I provided earlier, and watch the video I posted, and then get back to me. Thanks.

Please, Bill, don't just ignore this. I'd really like to hear your thoughts AFTER you read my first link in this thread, and see the video I linked to here.

Bill is not big on fact-checking when it come to our President and what he has or has not done.  Mr. Obama is, to Bill and other winger extremists, about as near to Satan as one in human form can get.  Now, blend that attitude with a bogus indictment of the President from the arch-rightist, extreme fundamentalist American Family ASSociation (AFA), and you have concocted a perfect poisonous propaganda pudding.  The AFA is the creation of one Donald Wildmon, a rustic Mississippi ultraconservative, but Wildmon is in a sorry state of health (almost as sorry as his state of mind) and the AFA  is now operated by his little boy and several persons of like persuasion.  They maintain a frothing-at-the-mouth web site and have several dozen radio stations that spout their predictably ultra-right wing blather 24 hours a day. They are the kind of twisted ideologues that the sane element of this world must endure in respect for the First Amendment.

It is not at all surprising that the AFA would castigate the President for failing to make some kind of statement or carry out some kind of observance concerning Easter, when in fact he has done just that.  Can you say "lying incompetent weasels"?

O No you are fighting a loosing battle. Bill has shown time and time again that he dosen't take the passage about "thou shall not bear false witness" to pertain to him and his views.

The truth is not in Bill. Like so many of these people who claim to be so religious , he picks and chooses what in Scripture he likes and wishes to rail about, and ignores most of the rest of it, most especially to push a particular political view.
