Rep. Darrell Issa, the top Republican on the House Oversight committee, is demanding a slew of documents from the Securities and Exchange Commission, asserting that the timing of civil charges against Goldman Sachs raises “serious questions about the commission’s independence and impartiality.”

So what if it was? Is this a crime of any nature? The SEC voted to seek a lawsuit. Whatever pressure the President may or may not have put on them is moot: they do not answer to him. Issa is a pimple on the butt of California. He is a joke along the lines of Michelle Bachmann or Ginny Foxx. He is a very rich loud mouth back bencher and stays that way for a reason.

p.s. It was not the President caught on Wall St. with heads of major investment bankers: it was Cornyn and McConnel. It was Mitch the Mighty who read a paraphrase of leaked Republican talking points on the Senate floor. It is Mitch who wants to stop the Senate from "a simple up or down vote" on a bipartisan bill. If there is any "gate" it is of the elderly KY tool's devious and deceptive oration and cupidity.

Juggie,

Please describe what you believe GS is guilty of! As for treason, would you include their number one tool in the senate -- Obama! At over $994,000 he was bought and paid far. The Obamites pulled down ten times what Enron paid the Republicans.
