Mommer,
Yes, it was one of my father's favorites. He used to work at Reynold's Metals and I can't count the number of times I watched my mother making those sandwiches for him to take with him when he worked the night shift. She had one of those little metal egg slicers and she'd slice up two eggs, one for each sandwich, and she'd give me and my sister the end slices of egg without much yellow in them since Daddy didn't like them.

This is making me want a Spam sandwich, with mustard. Yeah, it was great to take in lunch, because it is just as good cold.

TDB, my father worked for Reynolds Metals for 32 years until retirement. Our fathers may have known each other. Sorry to get off topic. Y'all carry on Smiler

It's quite possible. Daddy worked at Reynolds until Wyse bought it out and Daddy took an early retirement package since he was just 3 years away anyway. He was an electrician and is a member of the local IBEW.
Mashed potatoes with chili on top... lots of people give me weird looks when I talk about it, but then they turn around and order a baked potato with chili... same difference!!!

Also, my dad used to make us pancakes and take white corn syrup and mix it with peanut butter... tastes like caramel. OOPS!!!! My blood sugar just shot up about 200 points!!!!!!!

TDP, I think they may have not known one another after your post. My father would have been 90 years old last April. H was a member of Local 200. I miss him very much. He died at age 86 and was a very wise old WWII veteran. I hope you still have your father!!

Sorry for your loss Just and yes, I still have my father. Daddy is still going strong. Thanks for asking.
